Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Absolutely agree! This is something that's been eating at me brain lately. With how early stage VR is; to not take advantage of this opportunity to develop something, a simple blog, for sale / showcase site, Twitter page, etc is a big missed opportunity. A little bit of effort goes a long way.

Here's an example. I created a facebook page for my TheVRStore.com domain Facebook.com/TheVRStore.com/ Nothings really on the domain or the FB page. But I was approached by a Chinese supplier on there. People all over the world are looking. Whether it's for domains, news, stories, content, new ideas, suppliers, ad spaces etc. Cha Ching any ways I've rambling.

lol exactly, i always said it cost nothing to try, you only have to use your brain and some time nothing more

and at the same time it's also exciting to try to develop our own domain. If i had money to invest i will probaly create a brand named MYVR, and use all MY VR + KW to cover every branch of the VR industry but for now it's renewal who killed me...now i understand very well all advices i red thousand time here about the size of our portfolio

we will see, i will keep you updated anyway

Useless data, unless you know what exactly it is. I don't 'assume' much with data. Not good for me.

I am very glad you have the experience now to share with others. I wish you more sales.

Having done this a while, I never ever buy more than 8 names in a month. The best of a short list.
And limit all niches to a total of under 400 now. So if I feel the need to go over that, something 'must' go.
It's just my way of keeping it under control, OR staying on a diet !
A flipper may do the same but in higher numbers if he has the turnover to warrant it.
I do see a opportunity to jump in and flip some VR names this year and reserved space for it.
But I have been buying on the next tech wave past VR, so not adding to my VR portfolio.now

We allready spoke about this domain structure few time some month ago (My+VR+KW), and you were not so positif about the idea but i'm still convience that VR could be personnal experiences and that domain names like MyVRcoach, MyVRdoctor, MyVRagent and so on could work pretty well with VR industry to give this proximity to the users so i decided to give a try to them, and will try to distribute them on myVR.media on a original way and see if it works i will let you know when i will put it online of course it'a only my point of view...will be happy to have your feed back about the concept

They bought Metaio an AR company with about a 100 patents plus their stuff +bought FlyBy media.
In addition they brought some serious talents on 2015.

Game is on for them.
