From what I see Godaddy domains don't pass along that info to the landing page. Or your don't use godaddy forwarding and use your own dns there?

I use redirects from each domain's host DNS to my site. There I log the visit and then redirect once more to BB lander. So there is a second redirect for each request, but that doesn't have any negative impact.

So a request for one of my names does the following:

www.mydomain.com > forwarded at the host DNS > www.mysite.com?tracker=mydomain > load Piwik API to track visit to mydomain > redirect visit to BB mydomain landing page

Just had my 3rd BB sale. Just under mid $x,xxx range.

12 names published at time of sale.

Interesting story behind it.. I actually emailed BB to have the name removed from their marketplace as I wanted to market it myself. I knew it had great potential to fetch over $10k+.

The 30 day rule when having a name completely removed from BB, fell short of 4 days when my domain was purchased. No doubt it's a win for the buyer.

Name was picked up from the drop back in March for $69.

I'm interested to know if you asked BB to take a look at their suggested pricing for your domain, and maybe move it up more into the pricing point you felt it could reach? I'm just not sure how flexible they are with suggested pricing, or whether they just operate on a "take it or leave it" basis re pricing.

I had previously asked them to re-evaluate their pricing for another domain of mine, in which they approved and raised the price, after some reviewing of course.

As for the domain I sold.. Well, I couldn't see them pricing it at the figure I wanted. So, I asked to have it removed.

I am a bit surprised to see some Chinese Premium 4L on BB.

ZYTR for 2290 .. after fees + designer(100) owner gets 1503. Not worth giving exclusivity to BB.
RNGY for 2395 .. owner gets 1576 .. again to close to current market to give exclusivity to BB.

IMO

I wrote this 12 days ago.
Both names are still available on BrandBucket.

Now the owner would lose money by using BB instead of selling the name himself.

Probably. Maybe they're in the 30 days period prior to removal. If that's not the case, the owner should be already asking for a price review.

I kind of seem to be a lucky guy in the flipping business, I often flip high xxxx and mid xxxx values. I have never used GD and BB before. However, I just submitted my latest stock to them just to try my luck. Still pending though.
I only flip Dot COMs. I don't flip any other extensions and the names must be made up of 2 or at most 3 natural everyday english words. Bellow are my new pending Dot coms

RNGY for 2395.
These 2 are not on BB anymore. Either they were removed or sold.

The next very appealing chinese premium on BB is KYMP for $2995. Not only it can appeal to chinese market, but it is pronounceable which gives it a brandable value also.

I think it is very cheap at $3K.

nice names. I think you will have a good chance in getting a lot of accepted ones, I think more than 50% of these should be on BB!

My rate has dropped a lot with the addition of all these new domains! I think now I might be standing at like 2% annually if we continue at this rate. Previously it was easily 5% or even more, but with 25K domains, i believe the chances are slim. Im still a fan, but I dont know if that will be the case or not if we retain the 2% rate, given that I pay 30% + 100Logo fees!!!!

Has anyone maintained a smaller portfolio of top quality domains with BB. Say 25, 50, or 100? If so what is your current annual sell rate?

(truly good domains - 2 words that work well together, only the best made up names, etc)

I don't agree with Bazabizo at all. I think ActionSwipe is the only one that may get accepted.

BB domain name selection is kind of wavy and not stable to be honest. Because I see some names on there and I wonder if the reviewer was drunk when selecting them. I wont be surprise to get some funny outcome but fingers crossed.
If BB does not go well, I will look for some other means to keep auctioning and emptying the stock and make space for newer ones as the domain business could be also time driven in my limited experience.

After analyzing names for many years you get a good feel for what it is good and what is not. I'm not saying that they are all bad but I am saying that some don't fit the BB model. I also agree that there are many on BB that shouldn't be there. Part of the brandable business model is to add mediocre names because it helps the cream rise to the top and justify higher pricing.

I think PlanSignal may be accepted. Maybe UpHint but I doubt it.

BB love the pattern CVCVCV.

Any invented or derived word using this pattern has a good chance of being accepted.
I am 14 out of 16 following this pattern.

If the vowels are the same or at least the 2nd and 3rd the same, BB will like it.
