Domain.com are running a promo:
You can get a .com for $1.99 and a .net for 0.99.
It is overlapping with their 40% promo also for a few hours you you can get these even lower ($1.19 for .COM and $0.59 for .NET).
...but hurry, it won't last long :)

Try a different payment method. PayPal usually works fine.
I suggest that you hurry. This will be over soon.

I tired to register around 5 domains. I could not clear the checkouts. They asked me identification documents which I provided but I never heard them thereafter.
Even if they reject my application they should have informed me.
Pathetic service.

I have 100+ domains with them most of which I regged with promos and I never had any issues.
It is true however that my account was created while registering a domain at a normal price.

I noticed problems like the one you're reporting happening to other users in this thread in the past and it looks like it was related to using CC from countries with high fraud rate.

I just registered a domain yesterday (.com $1.99). It required me to create a new account as I didn't have on it yet. Since yesterday, I didn't receive any email from them for account creation/domain registration. Any suggestion?
Thank you.

Did you use PayPal or CC? Does the transaction show on your statement?
Have you checked "spam"? :)

Thanks for the quick response.

I used CC. It does not show transaction till the end, you actually start with the choosing name, then you check/uncheck whether to use full featured website features or not (in step 2), third you enter payment details (CC in my case). To finalize the payment, it asks to register (as I am a new user there). Then, it shows a message that account is being suspended for verification and you have to wait till its verified etc... I also sent them an email on given email id at same on screen message but, still no reply.

Yeah, I checked spam too. Anything to proceed?

Thank you again.

It's probably because the CC is from a country they think has many fraudulent transactions. I've seen it before with Ukraine, Russia, India, Pakistan, Vietnam, etc.
I don't know what advice to give you.
I just suggest using PayPal for those who still want to benefit from this offer.

Fradulent....LoL.
First that site is su*ks.
You can not register bulk domains. By Default, it goes for 2 year registration and privacy policy for 8.99.
The website who designed were really crap.
1.99 offers...Just to grab the customers to their website.

Yeah, this may be the reason how few fraud cases disturb many others who don't have any link with any scam at all.

Paypal isn't allowed in Pakistan don't know why.. for the time being, I ll look forward to hear from you sooner on email. Otherwise, ll contact via chat to get the issue resolved soon.

Thank you for the guide.

I agree that the site design and speed is not that great...
But like I said before I have many domains with them and I have had absolutely no issue.
I also traded domains that were with them and the transfers went smooth.
I am sorry for those that are facing issues... I understand it can be frustrating :(

Looks like the $1 promos showing up lately from various registrars, have been problematic.

I guess offering such promos, is a good way to test your system for flaws using real clients.

worst site....even 1&1 is better than domain.com..
I was registering a .com everything went smoothly and I used paypal(verified account) for transaction..After transaction process it showed that ur transaction has been blocked...and immediately I contacted their customer care after waiting for 15mins they told they will active my account but after 3 hours I got below email from domain.com

Hello,

Thank you for contacting support.

We have recently seen an increase in fraud cases using International credit cards/PayPal transactions and so we have tightened our security measures. Your order was blocked by our security checks. We do not host the accounts that are listed/blocked in these security checks.

Sincerely,
