Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Registered VRvsVR.com - this would make a great VR blog, VR gaming competition expo or Online challenges...

That's funny, I was just looking at OAPVR yesterday, but decided against it. Best of luck.

Thanks. I'm probably going to create a blog to start with VRvsVR and once I've got decent content with okay seo I will add affiliate VR stores.... This will pay itself for the domain renewal...

Looking for 4L vr's
I see RZVR.com on gogaddy @ 171 this morning with 15 bids.
(searched using closeouts and expiring -containing vr)
It's probably worth 1k on the short time and 5k or more on the long run.
(no it is not mine and I don't know who has it, ...just a observation)

As this gets started over the next year, I will be watching these lists because of those that did not do their research and hold many terrible names and now they can not hold on to the good ones (if they even know which ones they are). There will be so many names on the drop list, it will be hard to see the good ones in the mess.
I have a well researched list of keywords I am looking for, and that makes it easy (for me anyway).

The bargain hunting now is in those that are held and can be obtained under $1k or much less.

If there is anyone out there that would be offended by offers less than 500 for their names, save yourself some grief and aggravation and set your minimum offers because it's coming.to a DLS near you soon enough ;)

Verisign now says 118.5 million .com's out there now... Lots of Luck to all :)

EDIT: Note... there are 115 million biz's in the world according to the U.N.

Oh... a interesting read on advice to start-ups and domains...

Does anybody think the name change of the Morpheus to 'Playstation VR' will mean that Sony will block adult content on the device? I mean, I think the playstation already blocks xxx sites doesn't it?

It is a good thing when Sony blocks adult content. just like Oculus will block adult and most other companies. Why? More traffic / possibilities and less competition for holders of vr adult domains and future websites. There will be more demand from end users...

Could not agree more :) That's why I don't want to wait for offers and develop a few of my VR adult domains.

Oculus will block porn applications on their official store, but they have no plans to actually block adult content being played on it. I don't own a playstation, but I assume it's easier to actively block users from connecting to online adult porn through the playstation browser.

I guess this is what you mean when you say 'more traffic possibilities' i.e., users will get their content through online websites rather than applications, and thus preserve the value of domain names?

Received two $XXX offers for two of my domains - one high, one low.

One through sedo and one through whois email.

Indeed, i think this will happen.

This way you can build a authority website before the competition really starts off. A smart move to do. I am waiting for the 360 webcam streams to promote... But in the mean time i will redirect the traffic to a premium site. The 360 / VR features will be added sooner or later.

The question of Blocking comes up here from time to time.
The platforms can block anything they want on what they control.
And indeed, they all will block it on their platform.

How do you block x content as a 360 video?
There is no way of knowing what the content is. It's just another 360 video.

However, Oculus, using the method of VR-WEB announced by Carmac recently, has the potential to know everywhere you are using the device "on the web" through the vr-web driver that is to be hosted by facebook. So there is a higher "potential" here for many things you will not like or probably even know about.

They are transit times between an era in which VR domains were worth little, a few months ago have soared in price and we have a few weeks in which there is too much movement. I think that this is similar to a game of chess. Some players have sacrificed to his pawns to place his nobility in a good position for the final battle. I believe that recent bids and that are going to arrive by end of the year are domainers and investors are moving their chips to within a few years to checkmate and winning the game. I recommend that you not sacrifice your bishops, towers, and horses. If you need effective sacrifice a pawn. Come a time not many years in which selling any Queen or King you will win lots of money. I think that the game has just only started and that the final outcome is going to be exciting. Patience and intuition.

Why are people buying VR LLLL domains that are seemingly random?

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't there a more or less endless number of letter combinations?

How can this be lucrative? To me it seems like buying lottery tickets.
