Thanks just bought 88SG.net , you guys think its a good name?
Not sure, if you know this 88SG (Singapore?) have meaning then it may be good, but so far random NNLL.net don't have value.

I just registered VNTG.net = stands for Vintage just to test Bigrock, wanted to get that name anyway.

The Chinese premium LLLL.net at public auction on DropCatch are all up to to $279:

https://www.dropcatch.com/Domain/Gzdd.net

https://www.dropcatch.com/Domain/Bjll.net

https://www.dropcatch.com/Domain/Shyn.net

Lead bidder "first1" I imagine is the same guy "first" on NameJet that I read about on DomainShane.com.

Yes it is the same, first is a bidding agent for Chinese bidders.

$279 when I saw those I thought wow I really like my BJ and CXXC.net.

On Go Daddy I was surprised Mqqq.net only closed at $37.

Love seeing those auctions on DropCatch. I've got some city names too.. I guess they may be worth more than what I was thinking the market is at right now...

I just nabbed the last single Chinese prem .net in GD closeouts tonight. Was pretty surprised to see it just sitting there. :xf.smile:

@forge Did it have a Y in it? A lot of people forget that GoDaddy filters out Y's if you do a CCCC search.

It sure did. Ha. Now that's an interesting wrinkle!

Oh, duh... it was bwyg.net, the one you talked about before. A $9 bet.

Also, without DDC you'd be hit with the $16.99 GD .net renewal fee. That could be a deal breaker for some I suppose.

LLLLSales.com "baseline" Chinese price as of Sep 10 rose to $530, a new all-time high. 5% of that is $26.50. We're beginning to see very limited $17 (+ $8) bids on GD Expiring -- on names that don't have double-letters or anything too special about them.

Nat even better prices I am seeing on Dynadot for LLLL.net in their expired auctions. Intersting stuff. LLLS.net at $52.

@equity78 I thought that $52 actually sounded a bit low, but there are still 4 days left. Shall we guess what it hits? I say $185.

llls.net
Time Remaining: 4 days, 17 hours
Current Bid: $52.10

I was talking with another domainer yesterday, and he told me that AAAB is worth less than ABAB or AABB. I wonder if you guys agree?

It depends who you selling to.
For domain collector/reseller something like LLLS.net can be very valuable, because it's rare.
But for end user only one combination of letters is right.
I have a theory that any double letter combination is actually worth less if you want to sell to end user, because what are the chances that name of the company can be abbreviated with 2 same letters, not talking about 3, it's very rare case?

I think the odds that an end-user would need a double-letter combo are at least as good as that they would need Letter A + Any Other Letter.

On another note, it looks like we are kind of stalled at $20 ($12 + $8) regarding value here.

Very healthy action going on at GD Expiring now.

I got a couple to keep:

JSYT.NET - Jiangsu Province - .com is Chinese developed - YT is short for geotechnical engineering (Yán tǔ gōngchéng)

YSLG.NET - Lyuliang... trying to find other meanings..
