Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Really? So you dont know the difference between class domains and classless?

Registering VR+Anyword might be good fun for some and clicking the like button all the time might make you friends, personally I cant be bothered with that anymore, maybe im not a team player.....or maybe im real at what might sell and what will not!

Just because i posted what i did about moving to the AR thread you go mad at me.....weird? I'd say so!

well we all know there were some bad regs in VR..

but same happens in any niche.. including AR

anyone here who thinks they can just jump over to ar thread and make quick money or get class regs or buys for nothing, is probably in for a surprise.

the problem I have with AR is that it's been around longer than VR and it still has not made it and is more or less at par with vr now from what I read.. so for this reason, I'm out.

but I wish nothing but luck to all who go that. there is nothing wrong with paying for your own mistakes in life. the problem is when you pay for other peoples mistakes.

I think you guys both got to relax, and enjoy the unfolding of the technologies.

Go rush guys, there's still a heap of gold domains up for grabs ;)

We are all good fellows, let's not ruin it, and rather make merry while the sun shines.

Mikkel knows already about this thread and what's going on, after he has been bombarded with VR domains from almost everyone here (me included, i admit)

I'm with @mrcurly. AR is going to be bigger. So much bigger.

I've been doing a little research on AR and VR and I agree that AR will be bigger than VR, BUT VR is coming up now and fast. VR is will blow up in the next 5 years and probably settle a bit.

The AR buzz currently isn't as great as VR right now, my guess is because of the entertainment value VR has. AR believe it or not will be used for entertainment too ... Sex, Gambling and Games will be introduced to AR, it's being discussed now but not like with VR (I reg'd two adult AR domains myself).

VR will have more practicality for entertainment. There will be industrial, non-entertainment uses for VR but no way near the uses for entertainment.

AR won't start blowing up for a year or two, and it will trust me. AR is a technology that's more practical for everyday life and can be used by one individual all day long via glasses or a cap with visor. VR on the other hand is mostly for entertainment, hopefully an individual won't spend too much time on during the day, while a pair of sweet looking AR shades could be worn AND used while at or for work itself.

These are opinions of course, but I personally can not deny that AR will be more important than VR in the future based on their individual practicalities.

I got ARshades.com BTW :)

been doing my research before I stop posting on this thread and someone is in for a big payday...........

someone on here own's these three top domains

VRGlasses.com
VRHeadset.com
VRGoggles.com

they were all updated on 19th July 2014......bit of a give away!

I do hope people on here make money from their registered domains, and some might, but when I mentioned being more into AR now it is only because there is nothing left for me to buy in VR that I see any value in.....and that is my personal opinion.

I know people will continue to post their VR registrations and they can have their private pm's having a go at me, seriously im past that.....

Good luck in this thread and I hope to see some more sales rather than pages of registrations!

Cheers

Stu

At the moment I think people are far too image conscious to ever wear any type of Terminator style AR device which is currently out there (or even in production) when they start managing to fit the tech in regular glasses it will be a massive step forwards - until then VR is helping to break the image barrier for wearable headsets.

Hard not to love escapism side of VR... Only downside is that in the long run humanity is f***ed for sure.

thanks...

it's all gonna be small money for vr handregs... but many people will not mind the $100-500 payouts for their fairly low quality doamins... think things like.. vrprofessor, vryoga .. and a whole bunch of other things that happened so far.. and that'll continue to happen

as long as its profit, aand people are enjoying it. I think it's not so bad.

good luck

That's where I'm at, I would love to sell a few domains in that price range ... so I can buy more domains lol.

yep. I fully agree.

12 months to do that goes fast but it's still way more than a week. so I call that a good amount of time.

and to extend that into 24 months at some extra cost, if need be... I call that.. not an unreasonable business venture/investment.

Stu, good luck with your domaining! Thanks for creating this thread.

Also. Who's this Mikkel guy?

Domaintools, I hate you! (Not really.) Bulk checked a crazy amount of VR names and there was three gems in the rough showing available... But no, no! They were not available when I tried to reg them w/ GD. To Gwhois I went and they were reg'd May 7th... Blah. I guess I'm a little late to VR when it comes to domains.

Stu, good luck with your domaining! Thanks for creating this thread.

funny point about this thread is the first post i did at the start of this thread was mentioning my new buy.........things went a bit wrong with the communication and the sale fell through............nearly 10 months later and I ended up buying it again .......(VRTech) but through Sedo......always said I had good vision :)

Always have to wait for the world to catch up :)

Stick with me guys! :)
