We also have a warning from a domain investor regarding some stolen domain names.

Here's this week's Top Topics.

Warning! Stolen Domain Names

Domain investor @TheLegendaryJP has discovered several domain names that have been stolen from their rightful owners. The story starts with JP receiving information of one stolen four-letter .COM domain that lead to the discovery of more stolen domain names.

The domain names in question, which can be seen by visiting this discussion, are being offered privately to domain investors, or to Chinese investors using the popular marketplace 4.CN. The 4.CN team have been made aware of these stolen names.

Within Raises $12.5 million. Do You Like The Domain?

This summer, Virtual reality storytelling startup Vrse rebranded to Within after raising $12.5 million in funding. It looks like the team are utilising incredible technology to create their films, but since this is a domaining community, investors were more interested in their name change.

Whilst branded as Vrse, the company used Vrse.com, but since their switch, they have changed to using the domain hack With.in. Since Within.com was already in use, I think this is the next best thing. I am a fan of domain hacks like this. We also established this week that WordPress creator Matt Mullenweg is a domain hacks fan.

What do you think of Within's domain change?

This Negotiation Doesn't End Well

The majority of domain investors have received an enquiry on one of their domain names in the past. Investor @gipson has shared a story of a negotiation that reportedly happened between himself and DomainAgents, a domain name negotiation platform.

The story of this negotiation is told in the discussion, linked to above, but suffice to say that this particular negotiation did not end in a sale after the owner decided to cancel proceedings.

How Old Were You?

How old were you when you started domain investing? As a fairly accessible industry that requires very little funds to get started, domain investing attracts people of all ages. @Billy Wagner wants to know at what age you got started as a domain investor.

There are a number of people that seem to have begun their career as a domain investor in their late teens or early twenties, with some investors that have contributed to the discussion getting started in their 40s.
