bumping my question for shockie that was conveniently avoided.
not any that i will point you to. i do have several sites that rank under mobile browsers though, and i can tell you that these are due to keeping the equity of the
desktop versions. in fact, i have some desktop-only sites that rank under mobile browsing that aren't .mobi.
as for mobile browsing, i'd prefer typing in my local gtld or friendly extension that i'm used to from desktop browsing. furthermore,
if you're in france and you go to genericword.fr on a smartphone, then you should get redirected to m.genericword.fr. the same goes for the other countries, etc.
there is absolutely no good reason for .mobi, and in fact, m.keywords.(com/de/fr/etc) are far better solutions.
m.keywords.de > de.keywords.mobi
1) people will type in keywords.de. redirects take care of the rest.
2) wtf is a .mobi and why is all the equity in the keywords.de domain being neglected because of this .mobi garbage?
i'll take your deflection and avoidance of my previous post to suggest that you agree that the word "otherwise" is rather significant, and that you will stop misleading others by... "selectively" partially quoting other members.
========================================
now let's see if you'll deflect and avoid these questions. i've grouped them to make it faster to answer.:
1) what experience do you have in web dev / seo?
2a) do you think people in china will go to domain.cn or domain.asia?
2b) do you think people in japan will go to domain.jp or domain.asia?
2c) do you think people in taiwan will go to domain.tw or domain.asia?
3) do you think people will use a new extension, when a trusted established one already exists and works better?
mobile internet - developers
4) which is better for developing a mobile site, newrandom.mobi or m.alreadyvaluable.com? (you can skip this question if you don't have much experience with web dev / seo).
mobile internet - users
5) do you think germans would prefer going to trustedsite.de and get redirected to a mobile version of their trustedsite.de (m.trustedsite.de), or need to type in a completely new domain (willtheyremember.mobi) simply because they are on another device?
the questions are a bit wordy, but your answers don't need to be. just answer the questions and it's all good. thanks in advance.
