I just saw a commercial on tv (primetime spot) for Yahoo's One Search, for mobile phones/pdas.

We are truely witnessing the beginning of the mobile internet revolution. Yahoo One Search is also a fan of .mobi and mobile friendly names more than any other engine so that is a major plus too.

Thanks

Thanks

Yes, right now that Yahoo spider has been crawling the web, looking for .mobi sites

In Yahoo One Search, I am number 1 for certain keywords in some domains (from being indexed early, months ago)

Yahoo One Search really respects .mobi the most, I agree..

Since parking is useless, I suggest everyone consider making just a template on your own unlimited add-on domains' host.. on each of your domains, to get that One Search ranking..

Then, later, you can further develop your sites one by one..

So, for all 365 .mobi domains of mine, I'm moving away now from parking to a mass templated site on each domain with my host

Remember this Yahoo One Search is worldwide! And there is little competition out there now for yours to shine high

Kind Regards,

Yelo

I really agree with you on that one. At this point parking is useless.

I encourage everyone to make mobi sites. It's so easy with mobi site Galore

I have made 5 sites with ease,
Cost = 0, hosting 10.00 per month unlimited.

I (sorta) saw the commercial, too ... but I was walking in the door at the exact same time! Did it have to do with the ability - while "on the go" on a cell phone - to research a certain type of plant, or something? :gl:

Please share the rest of what I may have missed, as well! :talk:

I agree that there is forthcoming a ... mobile internet revolution, IMHO. I am unsure, however, who will be the winners and who will be the losers in this evolution, and just how long it will take to reach its full potential, as well. :|

Thanks for any additional insight.

We all know the mobile revolution is coming, the question is, will .mobi be king of it.

I sure hope so.

i dont know if mobi will be the king of the mobile revolution but i definitely think .mobi will play a significant roll in it.

Question:
Will the default mobile Yahoo homepage actually be in the .MOBI and then promoted and marketed as such ... or will it remain as http://m.yahoo.com IYHO's?!?

Caveat: I did not see what link or site they were advertising in tonight's commercial.
Thanks.

Sweet!!

And I have the number 1 spot for antioxidants (despite having 45 broken links haha). Take that NBC and Reuters :kickass:

Now I have to fix all those links...

That's the million dollar question, IMHO. :| :$:

I sure hope so.

All the best!

If enough content is out there within a year for .mobi, the enduser will brand it in there own heads as mobile internet, then it has a great shot at being king of the mobile. But either way, .mobi will play a key role (if the content is out there) IMO,

Now it's up to all of us to get the content out there and develope our great names and for Mtld to get names out there into the right hands and hopefully soon.

No mention, at all, of Yahoo.mobi ?!? :-/ :|

What did the commercial have for a URL / web link, if any? :gl:
Thanks again.

In my car on a night security patrol hehehe,

I heard a radio commercial for Yahoo One Search

There was no mention of Yahoo.mobi, but there was also no mention of m.yahoo.com - no mention of how to get there, period!

The silence on the matter, looks like a good sign of ongoing considerations in the Yahoo gang backroom..

Not an "official" backer (Yahoo), ya gotta love how they represent for Dot Mobi in those worldwide Search Engine rankings!

:music: :music:

Next time I see the commercial, I will pay more attention, but I could have sworn I heard no url. Maybe the purpose of these advertisements is just to prep the public for the service "yahoo one search", and the .mobi mention will come later? HOPEFULLY....

I can't recall them talking about an url. I was just excited they were promoting the mobile web.

I went to yahoo mobile and read about it...not totally sure but I think you go to yahoo.com on your mobile...then go to "onesearch" and it's like a closed garden type area...anyone get that too?

no url needed cause your always on yahoo during your mobile surfing. imo
