Could it be that they are simply following a classic marketing rule: don't launch the ads until the product is ready?
Excellent point.
I want us to examine what happens when the biggest companies "put their name on the line" in a hot product. Might this be an Illuminati like coalition that are calling one another joining forces to benefit even more from the world with their enlarged network?
Remember the most $$$ things are secrets held by the most powerful people, cross boarding companies just a phone call away.
13 weeks into dotMobi with hardly any sites out, do you think they want to explode prematurely and banner dotmobi? What would happen? When all the domainers like us would buy up all the .mobi properties instead of well funded companies and they would fear all we would do is "park" them like many .coms. That is one of the strong reasons why they reserved premiums (which after some time when released, .mobi will catch even more fire and then we should examine "where are the big boys" now). Do you think they want to come to these forums and encourage
us to buy more .mobis hehe though some of us have done it naturally; do you think they read these forums but don't talk on them?
Now let's flip this. When Big Bush and Clinton joined forces in the noble effort to aid the Tsunami disaster.. that made a team among the two halves in the powerful Washington force. Seemingly opposite sides were actually joined in brotherhood for the benefit of society (with implications beyond only humanitarian by nature). So, all those big guys reading this, I give Kudos for Samsung coming out of the shell of secrecy a bit..
What would I say to them? I hope they recognize the value of internet freedom for the masses.. its our Judgement. With advocacy from the user perspective like I spoke of above.. it does not have to be a choice "make a buck" or "fight for the grassroots user".. it can be
both
But I see the point, don't strike the iron until it is HOT.
I agree, despite even many corporate registrations, alot of people and companies are still ascertaining the trends unfolding to benefit from them with corresponding product line. How will .mobi vs .com etc. unfold? As a corporation how long should we sit back to read the trend or how much dare to be a first mover? What goes on in the highest level meetings and phonecalls? If a CIA agent must not reveal his identity, what do you think the highest level corporate center of the spider web would reveal to the us the public 13 weeks into .mobi? Surely they are planning, and analyzing the trends just like us. Is anyone here part of the New World Order flipped reading this that can give us some eye candy, you have the floor!
Just joking! heh
