Would you post your dev. mini-site(s) please?

Like many other Npers, I am looking towards developing some of my better domains, rather than leaving them in declining PPC. I would really appreciate seeing some examples of 3-5 page mini-sites with Adsense, Adbrite etc that Npers have developed for their domains.

I'm not asking for postings of Whypark, Imodo etc mini-sites, as these types of sites are covered elsewhere in other threads. I'm hoping to see some (inspirational..) examples of mini-sites developed from scratch or using available templates. If you'd like to showcase or share, I hope you post some links to your sites. Thanks in advance.

Doctypes tell the user's browser how to interpret the page code. There's no real "right" or "wrong" (there are some "preferred" types for certain situations, but I'm not going to go into that here) as long as the page code is valid for that document type. If elements of the code are not valid, you can expect the page to have at least some display issues in one or more browsers.

You can validate your page at validator.w3.org .

XHTML 1.0 Transitional tells the browser to treat the document (web page) as an XML compliant version of HTML 4.0 Transitional. Both of these transitional doctypes allow you to use some elements which strict doctypes do not, for example, deprecated elements (elements which will eventually disappear from the language, like font tags) are permitted.

XML has stricter "rules" for proper coding than HTML , for example all elements and attributes need to be lower case and all tags need to be properly closed and in the proper nesting order.

Fonts:

You can declare a font order like harkster described. If you want to use a less-common font, expect that some people won't have it on their machines so give them a list of alternatives.

Code:

font-family:my-fancy-font, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;

says to first look for "my-fancy-font". If it isn't found, try Arial. If that's not found, look for Helvetica. If none-of-the above, then use the default sans-serif font

There are ways to "embed" a custom font in a page, but they're a pain to do and the results aren't at all reliable.

I know you publish your sites quickly here and make improvements later,
but I would definitely have someone look at the grammar, spelling and punctuation. Some sentences do not make sense.
Maybe it does not matter for the CTR or value of the domain, but still.

you are right, I write very fast something as relevant as I can, but not being mother tongue I commit mistakes because I do not spend much time on reviewing...

No I never got them.

The last message from him was that all was needed is putting on adsense ads/google analytics and Mike needed reconfirmation about the code I provided three months ago.
I provided what he wanted and things would be set up he confirmed. 5 days ago he reconfirmed everything would be set up by the same evening.
No such thing obviously.
Complete write off.
He will probably try again in a few months under a different name.
Worst thing to do was to close the thread as at least people could read there what was going on and know better than to deal with him.

Another NP member I ordered sites with at the same time(3 months ago) also still has not delivered. Still in touch with him and have not written him off completely, but will issue a warning here if he promotes his services again.
I have posted my objections with Tajim on his thread. Hard to beat the price though and it is worth the $ 39.
I would personally just write the content myself/correct it myself or have it written by others if I would deal with him/her.
NP rating system is not something to go by from my experiences.
Just like in the poker world(where I come from), the oldtimers are often the cheats, as they have the opportunity because they get thrusted. Building up thrust and then getting you is the trick and also people do get in trouble and see the opportunities they get because they know others thrust them. Therefor I will not vouch for anyone. Anyone is capable of f..ng you giving certain circumstances.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get them........The only reason I never requested to RJ to close it was so that it didn't effect folks like yourself...If I were the only one then I would have.

I really hope he delivers them at some point to you. Mine was delivered about 40% Done.

You can have 3 ad blocks, 3 link units and 2 search boxes.

But you have to remember that the first ad spot in the first ad block is the highest paying ad you'll get, and the rest of them go down accordingly; if you load up on ads, by the time you get to the bottom, you're practically paying Google. And if there aren't a lot of ads in your niche, you'll see a lot of repeats.

Fewer ad blocks, and you have more advertisers competing for the space. My EPCs went WAY up when I reduced to 1 ad block and 1 link unit (plus 1 search box) per page. YMMV. But test it.

I'm wondering about something with my mini-site poker jewelry(.)org. I added an adsense block tonight but then I got thinking. Is it ok to have adnsense on it? I know the adsense TOS says no gambling or casino related content? It's gambling related jewelry and I have some clickbank affiliate links but no gambling content. Also ,I got a decent offer for a text link I'm negotiating. It's made way more than parking would have in the short time since I reg'd it.

I'm a huge proponent of WhyPark.com for developing mini-sites, and am looking forward for their update, but there comes a point where a site needs to be on a more customizable and scalable platform.

I did this in about 3 hours in Wordpress. If I didn't have to spend so much time searching for the controls and other such things - I could have done this in 30 minutes. Next time I'll get a mini-site done much quicker - from install to what I consider to be a good starting foundation...

So where are the ads you're asking? I'll monetize it shortly with affiliate offers, but for right now the prospect of building a readership and email list is much more important to me, because it will pay dividends in the future well beyond adsense clicks today.
