I picked up a nice domain the otherday from the dropped forum...I sent it off to premium domains a few days back, only to be told that it's a premium domain :D

It's the first one I have had as I dont spend much time on domains as I should...the domain is 'adultshopping*info' and was rated 424 with a frequency of 298,000.

I'm quite impressed.....It looks like the domain has spent its life on a sedo parking page...looks like it's gunnu be there a little while longer now :D

I already gave my rant in the other thread.

Just waiting for a re-evaluation of kiddieseat.com to a 750 score.

What makes you think it should get a 750?

Every name at BuyDomains is ... oh never mind.

Premium is in the eye of the holder and purchaser. I sold a .info name that I paid 60 cents for less than a year later for $110. To me, it may not have been a premium name but that percentage surely makes it a premium transaction or sale. Shoot, i'm happy to get double reg fee for some of them!

I couldn't sell a "premium" for $20 on eBay, even with a subtitle that said "this is PremiumDomain certified". I think the entire PD website is a joke, only made for the owner to rake in cash from idiot domainers who think it's a worthy investment.

I couldn't sell a domain listed at www.GreatDomains.com for $10,000 here at Namepros.com for $20, either! So, it isn't because of PremiumDomains.com . Ebay, in my opinion, is just a place where people are looking for that ultimate deal. They aren't even looking for domains probably. But, if you or I, see one that looks pretty good, and it is only $15 bucks, we might buy it. I buy cd's all the time on Ebay. I pay $3-$5. I will only pay more if it is one I really want, or it is rare.

It all just makes me think that being "certified" at GD and/or PD isn't really beneficial for your sales. It's a commodity, at best, just to boost your clout. It doesn't help with anything else

www.GreatDomains.com may not have big sales all the time such as Sedo, Moniker, BuyDomains, and Afternic, but they do sell some.
Being "certified" by GreatDomains was beneficial for the following domain owners:

VideoCards.com $35,000 1/23/07
Frisbee.com $35,000 1/23/07
Cafe.com $300,000 10/31/06
CreditCare $125,000 6/27/06
CollectionAgency.com $85,000 5/12/06
GospelMusic.com $150,000 3/22/05
Travel.tv $65,000 9/06/05
Trees.com $58,000 1/04/05
MusicShop.com $50,000 2/22/05
League.com $48,000 3/08/05
BBGuns.comm 40,000 3/15/05
Mail.tv $35,000 3/01/05
Gather.com $32,500 3/101/05
PetWorld.com $30,000 6/21/05
Damn.com $30,000 4/19/05
Weight.com $25,000 2/15/05
Herbal.com $25,000 1/18/05
and more....

Who's do say PremiumDomains might not do the same in a year, or two? Looks like some pretty good sales to me. Yes, I even believe GD's prices are way overrated most times, but some people might get lucky by having them listed at GD, or PD!!! IMHO, you are entitled to your's too. :)

No offense but those are great domains and would have sold for what they had even without GD's intervention :)

"way overrated most times" makes pd's appraisals somewhat trivial. no one (except noobs) will take pd seriously if they keep this up and as far as i know, pd is respected only a shade more than leapfish.
