Will turning Whois guard on/off trigger 60 day lock?

I just tried to email my whois guarded domain. It couldn't go through.
Wonder if I turn them off now. Would that trigger the 60 day lock on?

Depends on the registrar! Most privacy services likely do not enforce the transfer lock!
