I have a .com that I would never consider registering for .mobi. Amazingly, somebody else did. It's not even taken in any other TLD. I'll be laughing when I see that one drop. Unless they try to sell it to me, then I will get to laugh sooner.

While a lot of them should be dropped, denial plus cheaper reg fees and one year renewal periods will keep many renewed for at least one more year IMHO.

Not for sure but I thought the 2 year was for initial reg.

Right now I can renew my .mobis for an additional 1 year, so I assume that will remain the case when they are soon to expire.

That's what I'm hoping...it would make it easier for me to hold on to more of my domains beyond the 2 years.
