    Hello guys
As you know, many domainers still considering Estibot Appraisal when they requesting a domain name.
    IMO it is useless requirement.
Today the domain name KurdishMusic.com sold for $327, while the Estibot Appraisal is $225,000.
You will notice the huge difference between the two amounts.
    Thanks for all.

estibot basically reflects theamount of traffic the name associates. doesn't mean it's a desirable name at the same time. a name could have good estibot value because of one country while it's being sold in another, with the people oblivious to it's value

I think people are still using it because an end user that is purchasing their domain will not believe the domainer when he tells them that their current domains is only worth that amount.

It gives people a basic stamp that yeah this may be true irrespective of what prices domains are actually sold at

yes there is a lot difference sometimes between the estibot appraisal and the actual importance of domain ( good leads ) and sale price

when domain is not in their knowledge and may not be knowing it's actual value due to geo or some language barrier so they prefer to refer estibot

Maybe because it provides them with a base value to begin with.

yeah i also feel the same that why people so blindly follow the estibot appraisal value...it doesn't give the true value of the domain...
i think the buyers who have no idea about domains and there values prefer to at least see a appraised value of the domain so that they have an idea. however this is quite misleading.

Funny enough but namejet still use estibot, their listings have an estibot appraisal in the description and they also ask you to set your reserve price to be around 20% of what estibot appraises for.
