Why so many .ca are expiring these days?

Hi,
I see that there are many .ca expiring this time. I see that about 1500 domains expired in 2-3 days. Why???

A large number of them were dropped by one investor. It's not the first time this calendar year that that many have dropped in such a short time frame.

yup, it looks like someone bought a bunch of them thinking .ca's were going to take flight. the drops show that things didn't really go as planned.

It is a lot of money go away... many good expired .ca 3 character domains. Anyone would like to invest for these???
