Hey Guys,
As you guys know, I been investing in .tv since 2000, and did not find this forum until 2007. That is 7 years in "no-mans land" and it felt like I was the only .tv person out there, all by myself, with just me, my computer, my credit card, and clicking on the .tv purchase button.
When I found Namepros.com in 2007, and saw a .tv forum, I felt like "this is incredible, I am not the only one out there who thinks .tv is a great extension".
I was a "newbie" not in the domain industry, but in Namepros.com and the .tv community of Namepros.com. It was a greatest feeling in the world, asking others advice and taking it all in. I am sure maybe everybody else felt the same when they first joined.
Sure, I got some good .tv's before namepros, but MOST of my best buys were between 2007-2009 after I joined Namepros, and I credit the advice from others on Namepros as the main reason. If it were not for Namepros .tv community, I would not have one of the best .tv portfolios in the world. In fact, Namepros .tv community is the main reason why.
I will not forget, should not forget, and by that, I need to share my knowledge to others who are joining us.
The problem is as time goes on, people burn out, trolls start cruising, people are taking post personal, people are off developing, all real reasons why people might leave namepros.com.
However, we must remember that there are "newbies" joining the .tv forum everyday and I feel a responsibility to give back what I was given by this forum. Why is this so important? Because by being involved in this community we are helping promote .tv, which in turn helps us with our .tv.
I am sure everybody can give 1 hour a week or 1 post a day?
Those are just my thoughts and for those who have left this forum or are thinking of leaving this forum, just remember back when you were new here and how excited you were to get advice from others and how much of that advice has contributed to your success.
Thanks, Jim
