status-monitor Whole dollar amounts in all Sales Threads

Hello Mods & Members,

This issue of whole dollar amounts in sales threads has come up a couple of times recently and we would like some feedback from the community, if you wouldn't mind.

As it stands now, the whole dollar amount rule is Auction specific only.
6.2.11 Auction increments must be in whole dollars of at least $1.

We were wondering what the community thought about applying this rule to all Marketplace sales threads.

The obvious (to me) advantage would be less confusion in both the threads (for non native English speakers especially) and in the conversion from USD to whatever the buyers monetary system is.
Dealing in nickels, dimes, and quarters, although it look cute, is more of a hassle than an advantage.

$47.39 BIN. Really?

Since it doesn't really come up that often, I believe if it were applicable to all sales threads in general then we (NPStaff) would have one less issue in having to explain why it's one way in Auctions but not in Make Offer, Fixed Price or any other Marketplace forums.

The disadvantage would be, it's another rule we have to live by.

We would appreciate your opinions on this matter and also share your reasoning why you would be for or against making it site wide.

Thank you.

Peace,
Cyberian

It should always be a min inclement of $1

He's talking about the $xx.xx part... It should be in whole dollars and not random change after the decimal.

Agreed, whole dollar amounts is a great idea, decimals only cause confusion. Can't see anyone objecting to this.
