When to put the domain name in a Sales thread title?

I have been trying to sell some of my domain names lately and I am trying to figure out what my best approach is. I see some put the domain name in the title. Some get a lot more interest and other times a lot less it seems depending if they put the domain in the title or not.

so my question is: When should I put the domain name in a Sales thread title?

My natural thinking is if it is a really appealing name then put it in the title. But I am wondering what other peoples thoughts are on this?

I don't have it all figured out just yet, but I would say it's alot like writing a news story.
The title has to grab you.
If your title is your strong point....go for it....
If your traffic or PR is your strong point....that's your title.

I think the key is grabbing attention with the title and then getting to the point (quickly) in the actual post.

A few quick rules....(things I've learned)

1) Read the specific selling rules for each forum and follow them religiously.
(they give you great guidelines on info needed)
2) Additional info should be to the point...
If you think you have a weak point in your domain...leave it out.
If a person has a question they'll ask it. I'm not saying to be dishonest...but people here are smart enough that they don't need to be walked through every detail of a name.
3) If the name's appeal isn't obvious to English Speaking buyers....then explain in the post and provide additional detail.
4) Traffic stats Rock

Overall....
Strong point in the title and tell the story with as few words as possible while still getting the point across.

I've rambled on too much and answered way more than you asked (this post is the exact opposite of what a "sale" post should be...lol).

If we're talking about sales threads...

If I see a thread saying "ultra-premium dating domain name!" and then open it up to find "superdatingsiteforpeopleinchelmsford.org" I'll tend not to open any of that user's threads in the future because I'll assume they're wasting my time.
I think it's best to try and put domains in the title as well as brief description if applicable (e.g. "mydomain.com PR4 300+ visits/month") unless the thread contains a number of domains then it is fair enough to omit the name (although in this case at least putting the extensions being sold is a big help here e.g. "12 domains for sale: .coms & .orgs").

So for instance would you be more apt to goto / click on "Great Gaming domain name" or the actual domain name which is a decent name but not a "Premium name".

The thinking here for just using a descriptive title is the hope that more people click and would be more likely to bid being the fact that they already invested the time to view the post. Versus if you looked down your list of threads quickly and already saw the name in the title you may just pass right by it without being drawn in by the first click and curiosity.

I was going along the approach of marketing like woot almost. Where you give the little story about the domain name. (hasn't been working) But I am not sure if that is because of the domain name or because of the advertising style.

After reading some of this maybe I ll try to put both a short title along with the domain name.
