Hi, I am trying to make it so my domain name can be entered instead of my ip for a game. When you put in the ip, you also need a port. I figured you could just use Domain Forwarding through godaddy and have them put the domain name instead of the IP and also include the port, but it didn't work. Any help?

I am not sure about exactly what you need but if you want a domain to resolve to an IP address will you need to add an A record to the DNS server. You can add A records in GoDaddys control panel. Setting up a domain forward to the IP will not work.

How would I do that if the IP is to my computer and I don't have it setup for DNS?

Try dyndns.com or noip.com

You should not setup the DNS on your own computer but use the DNS service provided by GoDaddy. You should then add an A record with the IP of your computer.

Think anyone could help me out with doing this? I've looked around my account and couldn't find anything. I opened DNS Manager, but I'm really clueless on what to do in here.

this is for whm/cpanel only
login to your WHM
click on "dns functions", click on "edit dns zone"
click on your domain name on the choices on the right and click on "edit"
make sure you have your own domain name entered like this on the domain:
yourdomain.com. (followed by a period, meaning it's a fully qualified, registered domain name) then on record type select "A" then on the right side of it type the ip address alloted to you, usually it's the first ip.

(the whole instructions above is good if you have a vps or a dedicated server account.

then back to Main click on "Restart Services" click on "dns Server" (bind)
clck on main again.
click on "Basic cPanel/WHM Setup"
make sure you complete the dns usually the first and second nameservers are very important.
now go to your domain control panel or domain management panel, if it is godaddy.com
login
click on "domains" and then "my domain names" click on your domain name among the list, click on "domain host summary" wait 24 to 48 hours before complete dns propagation. HTH

Only one problem with that, I don't have cpanel or WHM setup on my IP. I have Apache though... But, if I don't have Cpanel, is it possible?

login via ssh, as root
just cd to this
/usr/local/apache/htdocs
and nano or pico index.html
modify to your heart's content.
every domain and newly created domain of yours will have that same page you modified on index.html
