When selling-asking what it's going to be used for

hi-when selling a domain name, is it proper or not to ask the buyer what they intend to do with the domain name? or is it a mute point seeing as though they can do what they want after the sale. thanks

If you had that domain for a long time and you spent a lot of time devleoping it it will be nice to ask that but if you don`t like it , i don`t see the point of asking .

Personally, I basically never ask unless the buyer brings up the topic and/or the domain already has a developed website on it that's generating decent income.
