People aren't going to pay a premium for a typo like this, the whole bitcoin category has basically fallen off a cliff anyway.

I respectfully disagree that 8K is the value, as I already received a higher offer.

Sorry but you you put it up for auction and that is obviously the value, can’t wish it away.

I think people like Kate, Brad, Keith, and a few others are usually the voice of reason on this forum (there's a pun there)

I can safely assume, I'm in agreement with what they say 99% of the time.

If you don't, then that's fine, but I'd bet there's a few common denominators that you'd like to be a part of. (domain sales probably being one of them)

With that in mind, I'll restate that there's some pretty bad "best" names in here, but also some good ones :)

I am maybe stating the obvious (as I often seem to do :xf.sick:) but would remind people that the OP asked people to post their domain that they regard is of highest value (and why). Note that the instructions were not to post only names that you think would sell for 5 figures and up, which I think is the way some making comments are interpreting this thread. Now that would be an interesting thread to have, and several names posted here would definitely make that list legitimately, but that is not this thread. I think the confusion came, because it was mentioned in OP if you think your name is worth 5 or 6 figures say why, but I don't think the intention was a restriction to that (the OP can clarify) @Arpit131

Note also that in the OP it urged people to have fun and to learn. I think the exercise of deciding which name you value most, and why, is value whether you have a portfolio with 20 names and the most valuable is $400 or if you have a portfolio of 5000 names with several in the 6+ figure range. JMHO

    Bob

Edit: PS I don't disagree that many names posted here are not very great. Also, some posters are not doing the three things asked - tell us the name, the price you think it could fetch, and why it is worth that. It is not very valuable as a learning exercise if you leave out the last.

wwwhomever you mean, I am sure you don't mean meee

Because I expect you know that the domain name I posted, has a higher value than one can imagineee

And, just for the unlikely case that you are meaning indeed me (?!), my only conclusion is that you are definitely in the wrong businesss
But don't worry, I can help you to understand whyyy

    1) Nattlivet.se - Generic term = 'Nightlife The' (The Nightlife), the correct form for Nightlife in Swedish.
    2) At the moment about $2M but I am not going to sell it. Yes have been offered.
    3) The market is worth Billions and in Sweden we are not afraid to charge for products or to pay for them. Our nightlife is in the cities and on the Baltic. Companies don't gravitate towards branch mispellings. In Sweden you have to serve food in order to be able to serve beer. So lunch is the day business and Nattlivet is the night business. They make more money at night time.

Problem: I'm afraid I have to agree with Johnny that 'i' for internet and 'e' for electronic are now defunct. I know brokers who are trying to sell some generic words with these prefixes and they can't/won't find buyers because they are asking for too much money.

I used to buy names for companies. I have been reading a lot here and in other places and I am now cleaning out what I used to believe was valuable. When we were getting screwed on a price for a .se name we just bought all the names in .com with the swedish company names. Now a lot of companies do that here.

It's like no one advertises for webmasters anymore either. We need to go with the times. The only e that will go forward is email until that is replaced.

Solution: The names you do have should be made into mini websites where you get money for showing adverts and they should work well. Just remember to make 5 pages or google will ignore indexing it... or sell them at a reasonable price to a retailer who will do the same thing.

Insane, the term doesn't even look popular in Sweden. You want $2million for this?

Hey, just wanted to point out that the person you are quoting appears to be Swedish. So do you think you understand this names value more than a native?

Yes. The price is nonsense, it is a reg fee type name.

Yes I am Swedish. I am a developer who has worked in some of the biggest companies and I also educate Full Stack Developers in English and Swedish as a sideline now that I work on my own projects.

I bet Johnnie's (whatever way you spell it) only suit is the one on his avatar.

Not just a name. Software is almost ready. I'm already long down the road. Don't you have businesses, financers etc where you come from? Nobody ever launched a great business?

I have at least 3 of my 15 sites in my signature. What business are you in?

Will be worth a whole lot more in 2 years time. That's for sure.

I think @Josh R is talking about the domains value alone not the enterprise value. If you develop it than it may be able to reach that price in the future but that valuation will have to include other variables like traffic, conversions, revenue etc. You would be selling a business and not just a domain at that point.

It is all delusional stuff, much like the person putting name up for auction then claiming they secretly got a much higher offer when the price was nowhere near what they said.

I could safely get 1M USD to exit this project tomorrow afternoon. There are many big financers who own the posh clubs in the big cities.

Here is just one such group. Will PM it.

If you owned Vegas.com and I came from another country and had absolutely no idea what Vegas was. I would hope I would tell you "I don't know the value of your domain". Not just say "Well it sounds to me like it's probably only worth a couple hundred dollars".

Nattlivet.se is the generic term for nightlife in this country. That makes it worth more than 2M on it's own.

I don't think he does, but, from what I can see by navigating to the domain it appears to be developed. So maybe he's talking about the total value of the business+domain and not the domain name alone which is swedish for "Nightlife".

It is a site with a couple of old blog posts, term isn’t very popular is Sweden and the development doesn’t add anything.
