On NP we have a vast repository of knowledge and people that have experience with end users.
Share your insights and keep this thread alive with your successes or mishaps.

- How to find end users
- How to write the perfect approach email (may vary)
- How to negotiate
- How to create a value statement based on the relation of the domain<->business
- How to minimize the "No thanks, not interested" or no response at all quota
- and whatever else it is you're doing to get the most out of your end user
approach.

Why would you share my experiences? Simple.
1, It's what NP is all about
2, We're not in a competition to sell to the same end user
3, You might learn something here as well
4, The more information we can gather, the stronger we get.

Let's see where it takes us!

M.

I've approached a potential end-user only one time, I'm a little held back on this, because it feels like asking something that is not wanted. However, I received a great response, without success though, but kind anyhow.

Where does one draw the line? You're in fact selling a product, how is that different from spam? These are the questions I ask myself.

How do domain resellers and end-users set up proper communication channels? This is what I wonder about also.

Well, I'm obviously confused about this matter.

The only thing I know is that when you decide to approach a potential end-user, you should be modest and humble, no hard sales copy.

I'am living in Indonesia. This is very difficult send email today to europe or US. For solution i send my proposal via FAX, just burn $1 / FAx but this is great solution for me. Selling 2-5 domain a month. Helping my cash flow

I normally contact the end users via email. Out of 100 emails sent to end users I would get 5-7 responses which would result 1-2 sales. The main problem is that the majority of so-called endusers have no idea what the "domain" is or why they should buy it. Also, many people believe its a scam and that you just trying to get some money out of them. I believe, in a few years more people will be educated about domaining and won't be afraid to make business online.
