What's a reasonable resell/minimum enduser price for CountryName.com you would consider? I mean the countries that have low GDP and populations.

btw: I'm not asking domains like RepublicOf?????.com

Thanks. :)

That is a pretty tough appraisal. There are only so many countries on the planet so I can't imagine names like these change owners all that often. I wonder if anyone knows of recent sales (last few years or so) for this type of a name. That might help a little.

I won't even call this my two cents, just my .02 cent. All things being equal (and they can't be in this case), I would think the bigger tourist industry, the more the name would sell for.

The lowest I have seen is Mozambique.com at $82,500 in 2007, Yemen.com at $100,000 in 2008

Any lower sales?

You could take a list of countries and run them through NameBio one by one. It would be a bit time consuming but maybe worth it in this case. At least you would have a really good historical record of sales for these types of names, that would probably beat out any appraisal someone throws out off the cuff.

A lot.
A pure (countryname).com- no dashes, no qualifiers, no prefixes or suffixes- is a crown jewel of geo domains. Yes, even if it's some African craphole, there is a good deal of desirability there. On a name like this, you have to be patient. Don't jump at the first five figure offer you receive.

If it is an "African craphole", you should also consider that they just might change the name of the country. :o

Not just in Africa, but other places. If you are dealing with real small countries with an unstable government, that could be a factor. Maybe not a big factor, depending on the country, but something to consider.

Recent case in point, Burma is now Union of Myanmar.

Those are true gems, I would think high xx,xxx minimum (for more less known or poor countries) from what i've been observing, and the sky is the limit for a good one.
