I was looking for the perfect name for website where top chefs could share and discuss their favorite recipes, ingredients, cooking techniques, wines, restaurants, cookware and cooking tools, cookbooks, kitchen products, healthy nutrition tips ...

Website like this offers wide array of themes and huge marketing potential, IMO, and it is in very popular niche.

I'm pretty satisfied with what I regged, but since I'm not native english speaker I'm not sure which combination of keywords would best fit with that concept.

I regged all keyword variations, and now I would be very thankfull if you suggest me which of those 4 is most appropriate and accurate;

CHEFS FAVS – ChefsFavs.com – my fav, in a way it rhymes and reminds me on something what can be seen on Food Network or 24Kitchen. I think it have best branding potential, it's catchy and memorable, but it is longest and double plural

CHEF FAVS – ChefFavs.com – strong first keyword in singular, I think that domainers would give advantage to this combination

CHEFS FAV – ChefsFav.com – not sure about that, althought it makes sense too

CHEF FAV – ChefFav.com – shortest, both keywords in singular, but maybe weakest of all

Also I’m not sure about the plural (chefs) and singular/plural possesion nouns; chef’s and chefs’

I appreciate any help that you can provide.

I like ChefFavs.com. However, ChefsFav would be a nice addition, smth like the favorite thing of a chef.

I'd pick Chefs///Fav///com.

Im not sure on these to be honest.

The abbreviation Fav or Favs is easily typed incorrectly and most places, people, websites etc would spell it Faves. Faves is more common because in English we never really put an S straight after a V, even when abbreviating something..

My advice would be to either use Faves or find another word. Just my opinion though..I like the idea

I was going to suggest 'fave' too, but somehow fav sounds more professional to me, it's got some flair and grows on you over time. At first glance though, my opinion was 100% the same as @gilescoley's :) I was going to suggest opting for words like chef's pick or chef's selection but then the chefs///fav/// one grew on me. I like it :)

I like ChefsFav.com as well. Personally, I tend to avoid two word names with repeating letters at the word borders. Since domain names are always used in lowercase, It can sometimes cause confusion and/or error.

For example, some I'm never sure if the name is chefave.com or cheffave.com - I've seen folks use a single letter as a bridge between two words in the domain. Always confusing

Edit: Corrected the domain names and language!

The man gets a fruit cup with dinner....Gilescoley, is correct. It doesn't meet the radio test...could/would be confused with other letters...IMHO, start again.

Thank you so much. Your suggestions gave me insight from the different perspectives and they helped me a lot. I'm still satisfied with the initial idea which I will improve according to your advices. Once again it is shown how domaining can be tricky, complex and challenging, but that is why I like it

If you're really serious about developing the site,I'd suggest buying 4 more with favE and then pointing/redirecting the other 7 to the one you like best. If it turns out one of the 8 is significantly more popular, you can always make that the anchor site and redirect the others to that. Domain renewal cost of 8 x $9 is not a big deal for a good site.

So, I'd say go with the shortest - ChefFav and start working on killer content.

Done! Thanks, bobbarato. That was the plan, I just needed someone to encourage me :-,
Actually, I can't develop it, but I assume that it would be easier to find the buyer if I have all combos.

OMG, my wife will kill me if I don't sell something fast ...:-o
