Possible separation in the Alerts notifications stream of Thanks/Likes/Agrees/etc on the one hand, and Replies and Mentions on the other hand. Can be done with a temp partial Hide function, too.

yea and how about they make sure nobody sees any alert from people on ignore list..like some dumbass losers who dislike all posts... fock.

Is that still happening? Thought that was fixed long ago, but maybe it was missed. We'll look into it.

Thanks for letting us know.

I propose that Namepros needs to compete with Godaddy to save our profession and livelihood. The first step of gathering domain listings pointed to Namepros landers is already being implemented but needs to be accelerated to reach an impressive number to motivate third parties to deal directly with us as a community of brand professionals holding unique assets. But that is not nearly enough. We have to come together with our common interests and build solidarity by delisting our best names from all Godaddy owned properties. We can’t expect to change anything in our favor if we keep giving our enemy (Godaddy) the fuel (our valuable domains) to continue to ruin our livelihood.

I would love to see a free search engine made available from Namepros for anyone looking for a brand name for their business or simply an upgrade for their website name. We just need to get enough Namepros members with good quality names to delist them from Godaddy and point them to Namepros. Then make an app and get it listed everywhere for free. The keys for success are exclusivity, saving consumers money, not having search results bloated with terrible domain names and having an affordable, easy, safe purchasing method.

Imagine this: Consumers looking for a business domain search Godaddy and see a ton of .crap listed, see a paid add for Atom and see lots of crap listed there at high prices, and then see an unpaid search result from their bowser for high quality domain names for businesses at wholesale prices. They check it out and are so relieved to see great names that are relevant to their needs without having to burn their eyes searching through thousands of garbage domains. They also really appreciate that they are bypassing all the third party websites that markup the cost by as much as 30% without providing any added value.

If we as a community take control of our own destiny, we have the opportunity to achieve success and have abundance in our lives. I dream of 10 Million high quality domains that are only available through our community retail channel that pays us just as much as we have been getting, but offers consumers up to 30% off by going direct through us.

If someone looking to purchase a car goes to their local dealerships and prices vehicles and then goes online and finds wholesale prices 20% to 30% less, they will question why. Godaddy’s standard arrogant response is “Because we are the biggest!” Consumers just need to be reassured that there is a better and more affordable option for them. People are price conscious and impatient. Consumers hate spending weeks searching through low quality names and dealing with bots and useless brokers that do nothing but ask the actual domain owner how much they want. We as domain owners hate getting flooded with non stop messages from Godaddy telling us that they can’t reply back to a mystery person who has shown interest in our domain until we take the time to research and throw a price on the domain without even knowing anything about the buyer. The worst thing is that it’s most often just a goosechase because the buyer was not a buyer at all and was just confused. At least we will have the option to sell another domain from our portfolio to potential buyers according to their budget, instead of Godaddy offering visitors other domains when they land on our domains and want a lower price option. Godaddy is like a fox in our hen house. We are being played for fools.

then np would need it's own escrow system. otherwise if u dont use dan add lead then u use another escrow service then everyone goes there and make those guys richer and closer to monopoly. unless np makes his own pay and payout system it cant work. and unless they make it 5percent or less fee nobody sane in tough domain sale times will switch to np and pay more fee just to maybe in 100 years see gd not be monopoly anymore

Yes, that’s what I usually do. I just thought a clear all button would make life easier.
It's already there, but it's perhaps not as intuitive as you expect.

When you're composing a text in the editor, and want to remove all text at once, you select "Delete Draft" from the pulldown menu on the right. Then, do a refresh of the complete web page in your browser, and you should see an empty text field.

Let me know if this works for you.

Now that Namepros has implemented a verification system for landing pages, would it be possible to extend this system to domains listed for sale on the platform (public or private)?

As an option, sellers could verify their domains by pointing their nameservers to NP landing pages. Once verified, these listings could receive a verified badge, giving them more credibility and providing buyers with additional confidence in the ownership and legitimacy of the listing.

This wouldn’t be a requirement, but an extra layer of verification that could increase trust and transparency in the marketplace.

Could also be a nice way to promote NP landing pages.

Can tell you what you should remove, 'pre-purchase appraisals' section.

Why can people seek valuations (and talk) on domains they don't own something current owner hasn't given permission and something that will be forever indexed on Google? It can have a drastic effect on valuation, if one of my domains ever got posted in that section, i wouldn't be happy.

Also is it possible for the auction section on NamePros to not be indexed? Again when you buy a domain, you may have got a good deal, but everyone has a rough idea what you've paid for it, it forever stays on this site and with that forever stays on Google which can effect valuation.

Fair question. Members have always done that, even before there was a section dedicated to it. They also still do it outside of that section.

Members can discuss just about anything they want relating to domains, including domains they don’t have permission by their owners to discuss.

There wouldn’t be much to talk about if every discussion required an owner’s permission.

if one of my domains ever got posted in that section, i wouldn't be happy.
If you prove current ownership, we can obscure the domain for you, such as adding spaces to it so it doesn’t show in search engines for its exact keywords: see solution #4.

We hope that helps.

I think it’s important to distinguish between a random question in a thread and a prominent thread in a dedicated section, especially when harmful responses are involved. Both will be indexed by search engines, but the latter will be more prominent due to the forum’s large reach. You might want to consider making that section uncrawlable for search engines, similar to what you do with the Private Legal Discussion section.
