oh naah not that one. I'm talkin a 3 to 4 number + 1 Letter .com I think it sold for aroud $60K.

it surprised everyone and everyone was talking about it as a crazy head scratcher sale.

naah we are just slaves to the China domain market.

reason? rarity.

there are ten numbers vs. 27 letters.

plus in China market those amounts go down when you have to eliminate 0 and 4 for the numbers and eliminate all vowels a,e,i,o,u,v since no Chinese words or hardly start with these letters.

so 8 numbers vs 21 letters.

for example a 4 number domain = 8x8x8x8 = 64x64 = 4096 possible variations

a 4 letter domain = 21x21x21x21 = 194,481 possible variations.

therefore numerics to the chinese is more rare by the numbers.

edit. also when it comes to numbers there really is only 1 number that matters and thats 8 the more eights you have the better since that's the most favorite number to the Chinese.

that single 8 changes the 8 possible variations to just 1.

so a 4 number domain that has two 8's in it. changes thee equation above to

1x8x8x1 = 64 possible variations where 1 represents the number of 8's in this domain.

forget endusers. just list them over at 4.cn or Sedo.
