opinion 5 reasons why NNLL.com, LLNN.com, NNNL.com, & LNNN.com are solid investments.

Watch
I’m an active buyer and seller of the NNLL.com, LLNN.com, NNNL.com, LNNN.com segment of the Chinese market. I am going to focus more on NNNL.com and LNNN.com here since I have more research finished on them, but I’m bullish on all of these categories. Here are 5 reasons why:

1. They’re short .coms

They’re easy to type, and they look and feel great. As I started buying them, I started liking them more and more. I was constantly handling them and typing them them into my spreadsheets. I couldn’t believe how great they felt in relation to how much they cost.

2. They’re scarce

Everyone has different opinions as to what is considered premium in these categories. One you often see is no AEIOU40 (I personally like 0 at the end of the number).

Let’s look at how many combinations there are for these defining premium as no AEIOU40.

NNLL.com - 8 x 8 x 20 x 20 = 25,600 combinations
LLNN.com – 20 x 20 x 8 x 8 = 25,600 combinations
NNNL.com – 8 x 8 x 8 x 20 = 10,240 combinations
LNNN.com – 20 x 8 x 8 x 8 = 10,240 combinations

Last time I checked, NNNL.com and LNNN.com were ALL registered except for about 20 low quality ones. I have a link at the end of the thread. These categories are bought out.

3. They’re undervalued

There are relationships between similar classes of domains. @Giuseppe Graziano has talked about the concept as it relates to the Chinese market. Definitely check out his interviews on DomainSherpa and his newsletter.

LLLL.com Chips are roughly selling at 1/30 LLL.com (a direct relationship would be 1/20).
NNNNN.com is more or less 1/10 the price of similar NNNN.com.

So what should the value NNNL.com and LNNN.com be? Their closest relationship is with NNL.com and LNN.com. Here are some recent sales (NameBio):

79h.com 3,138 USD 2016-01-14 Sedo
89p.com 4,300 USD 2016-01-12 Sedo
73j.com 2,300 USD 2016-01-09 Flippa
12c.com 5,555 USD 2015-12-28 Flippa
58r.com 7,300 USD 2015-12-22 NameJet
17f.com 4,947 USD 2015-12-12 Sedo
33y.com 5,700 USD 2015-12-07 Sedo
69h.com 3,400 USD 2015-12-01 Sedo

r62.com 2,172 USD 2016-01-13 Flippa
p81.com 4,000 USD 2016-01-12 Sedo
x36.com 3,799 USD 2015-12-14 4.CN
x67.com 4,999 USD 2015-11-23 Sedo

Applying logic similar to the relationships between LLL.com & LLLL.com and NNNN.com & NNNNN.com, we can estimate what NNNL.com & LNNN.com should be worth. Whether you divide by 8 or 10 or even 15, the data suggests that the value of Chinese premium NNNL.com and LNNN.com should be in the $250 - $500 range.

4. The Chinese buy and use them

Being active on the drop and at auctions, it becomes obvious that the Chinese buy and use these types of domains. I look at the ownership history, who is bidding, and who is winning. And from my portfolio almost all the inquiries I receive are from China.

Additionally, when you look at the sites already developed, it becomes even more evident. There are literally thousands of developed NNLL.com, LLNN.com, NNNL.com, and LNNN.com. The majority of them are Chinese. Here are some examples of high traffic sites:

5. The smart money is on them

There are some prominent domain investors buying these. If you frequent DomainShane.com, you see @Domain Shane talking about these almost daily. He follows the Chinese market like a hawk. People should be paying attention. There are others investors too, some of who have made 100,000s of thousands of dollars investing in the Chinese market already.
-----------
Those are a handful of reasons why I have a positive outlook on NNLL.com, LLNN.com, NNNL.com, and LNNN.com. They are not without risk. They have some of the same risk that affects the overall Chinese market. But the long term, I believe they have an extremely bright future.

Here are some other threads on NamePros that discuss these:

I already posted a bunch of high traffic NNNL.com, LNNN.com, LLNN.com developed websites, now I am researching developed NNLL.com.

Out of the 25,600 NNLL.com chip combinations, there are literally thousands of them developed. Now, this is a bold statement, but extrapolating out my data, I estimate that more than 20% of NNLL.com chips are developed!

I figured there was no way that could be possible, so I just started typing in random NNLL.com into my browser and it seems to hold true. It is absolutely insane. Try it for yourself. Make sure you put use "www." in your searches so the sites will resolve.

As I said before, there are more developed NNLL.com than LLNN.com by far, probably 30% more. The domain investor wholesale market has got things all wrong valuing LLNN.com higher.

Anyway, here's a small sample of high traffic developed NNLL.com.
