What is up with the registrars providing results of unavailable domains recently?

I notice that half the time godaddy shows results in their main search bar for great domains, and once you add to cart, it says "domain unavailable" or even lets you put it in the cart at times, and at checkout saying "DOMAIN UNAVAILABLE" and name.com even invoices $0.00 and takes credit card info. Am I the only one noticing this?

Happens all the time and expecially at 101domains. They will let you reg it and it sits in processing and then when you question them it's not available.
