Most of the domainers try to hand reg premium names in gTLD as .Com and all other major TLDs got sold. Almost all registrars take advantage of this and use simple trick to fool you. When you search Single Word Premium Names like Insurance, Porn, Apple etc. or numbers like 1, 9, 888 etc. You will realized that some registrars show these kind of premium names available in one or two gtlds and others all sold. You get surprised and happy, hence you want to register that name imdt. before someone buy it. You put it in cart. Make payment. Money get debited from your paypal or credit card.
And imdt. or later you get message that Registry denied your domain. (Some even don't message you) You get panic, you already paid for it. You call or chat with company staff. They checked it and apologized. They said you will get refund. You don’t get domain but free harassment with registrars staff.
These domains usually cost you $30 to $100. Your hard earned money gets blocked for 3 to 10 days. This is happen again and again. The registrars collect thousands of dollars by this simple unethical trick. They use your money without giving you any interest, though it’s their entire fault.
Moral: Whenever you want to hand reg any single word premium name or numbers, if its available don’t buy it imdt. Go to other 4-5 main registrars. Check whether the name also available with them. 90% of times you will see that same domain is not available with other registrars. This is first sign of scam. Don’t buy domain.
Another thing is go and check whois of same name. For eg. If you see Insurance.Car Clothes.Shop is available. Check its whois. Most of the times registry kept premium domains with it and these are not for sale to retail domainers.
There are some others ways to check. But these two are important.

P.S. : Apple is premium name. Its generic term. Apple Inc. bought all gTLDs. Hence you search if they missed any. Hey you guys are lucky because you all are my friends. Its available and you can easily sell it to Apple Inc. for 5 figures. Try your luck ...
