What is the most you spent on a name that you were never able to sell?

In my case, I once paid about $180 at a Godaddy auction and never found an interested party or received an offer. I decided to drop it realizing acquiring it was the wrong decision. That was a couple of years ago. I owned the name for about four years. Has it happened to you?

Yes it has happened to me. 99.9% of the domains I've bought here on NP, I've subsequently dropped. I actually cannot think of a domain I've bought here and kept. But I still go looking in the for sale sections every single day :)

$900 - still haven't been able to sell it.

Oh well, that's what happens when I overpay for domain names worth $50.

$300 + for a LLLL

The domain generates decent (not spectacular) traffic, but no sales bites.

I like the name and will keep it; it would make a great rapper name.

I also created one of my favorite logos for it.
