Cpanel or DirectAdmin ?

what is better and easy for you, and Why?

i'm a fan of cpanel and it seems to be more commonly used.

I think that in this situation you should chose what is better for you.

cPanel comes first mainly because its well known.

Others such as DirectAdmin, Plesk, Lxadmin all come secondary as an alternative to the well known but quite expensive and sometimes a resource hungry control panel.

Never the less they all have the same benefits it just depends what you wish to use.

You may see cPanel supporters winning this. That is just because it is the most popular and mostly used control panel.

I use either cPanel or DirectAdmin(DA). They are both very good control panels for different reasons.

cPanel is the industry leader, but that doesn't always make it the best choice. cPanel simply has more bells and whistles than other control panels. You may or may not need them, as decent knowledge of how to use a .htaccess (for example) can eliminate several of the bells. In my case, I don't always need them. DA is much lighter on the resource footprint than cPanel, and one can edit the DNS zone from within the control panel as opposed to hopping over to WHM in the cPanel setup.

I look for DA to slowly pick up over the coming months and years. cPanel got the spring out of the gate right, and it's more widely used because it's the most ubiquitous out of all of them.

When DA introduces lighttpd and clustering support, I can see it increasing. It is extremely affordable and more and more people want to get the most out of their systems - cPanel really does not do this!

That might be the main reason for lots of us to say Cpanel is the best. It is the most popularly used control panel. For a comparison as SiberForum said we have to experience both. Otherwise we can never say Cpanel is better than DA IMHO.
