Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Thank you. What is more satisfying is that a nice web site is already built on it.
Cool, they were ready to go. Most of my domain sales just stay directed to my sales lander.

I must say after getting involved in the crypto space I see most brands using .io / .finance / .net / .co and while I still believe in .com clearly crypto is bringing increased awareness to alternative extensions.

Still, please people don't throw your money away buying trash VR domains with multiple words (I see people posting them a lot here), especially in alternative extensions. This sale worked because VRroom is a great combination and there are existing websites that use it (for example VRroom.buzz has been active for a long time).

In fact, on a personal note, I'd appreciate it if people posted their new VR domains to the VR showcase thread instead of this one. It would be great if we kept this to news, sales and market discussion.

I got in a bidding war for the expiring carvr.com but let it go at $2,650. It's worth much more but I feel bad giving Godaddy so much of my money. I'm sure the buyer will do well with it.

I came across this very interesting article that appeared in in the New York Times magazine about using VR/Virtual Reality to manage Chronic Pain,
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/04/26/magazine/virtual-reality-chronic-pain.html

GL to anyone holding relevant dns!

“That’s because people can’t live in two realities at once,” Spiegel said. He was describing V.R.’s “unique ability to convey a sense of just ‘being there,’ wherever there happens to be,” as he puts it in his book “VRx: How Virtual Therapeutics Will Revolutionize Medicine.” “All of its revolutionary potential tumbles out of its ability to compel a person’s brain and body to react to a different reality.” Humans may use roughly 50 percent of our brains in visual processing, Spiegel writes, so “bombard the eyes with spectacular and dynamic visions, and next thing you know, those three billion neuronal firings per second will ricochet through half the brain to process the overwhelming load of visual data.” In this reality, Monterroso no longer experienced pain.

“What we saw today with Julia was like a ‘cyberdelic,’ as if she took psilocybin,” Spiegel told me, referring to the hallucinogen. “She had explosive insights into how to modify her own life.” Her amygdala was “on fire,” he added, referring to the almond-shaped structure in the brain that processes emotions. The real-time biodata helped her connect the dots between brain and body, while Maia taught her how she could potentially turn the pain off. Even though Spiegel tried to explain all this to her the week before, she did not grasp it until she tried V.R.
