What happens if someone came up to you at the shop counter and said to you โwhat are you buying that t-shirt for its crapโ or stopped you in the street and said โyour aftershave smells like someoneโs diedโ what would you say? I know what I would say.
You are seriously comparing shopping in a street to posting on a public forum? This is a showcase and discussion thread. If people open themselves up for opinions or valuations on their domains, they are going to get replies of all sorts. People have to deal with it.
Bottom line, everyone has different tastes of what is good and what isnโt โ Thereโs been some VR sales, I would class as โbad registrationsโ gone for 4 figures.
End of the day domaining is industry where people can rich or poor can have a chance at making money, donโt end hopes before they even begin and donโt shoot people down for trying.
After 18 months of doing this and spending multiple XX,XXX, let me tell you a revelation: You can get poor by trying to get rich.
This is business, not a game or a get rich quick scheme. Domaining isn't for dreamers, it's for realists. Everyone wants to become a rich, yes, but if you don't approach it in the right way, it isn't going to happen. You need read, learn, absorb, research, study, live and breathe domaining. Everyday you need to be watching the market, seeing what sells and understanding why.
A lot of people when they first join domaining think it's easy just buy 100 domains and one will sell for $1000+ right? Wrong. This strategy is fucking lottery. How do I know this? I have been there, done that. It comes down to quality over quantity.
How can I tell someone to get a refund on their list of domains? Cause I can tell what is a lottery and what is a good strategic purchase. Buying 50 Virtual+Keyword+Keyword is a lottery. ESPECIALLY if the person who bought it, is a new at domaining. People seem to forget one important thing. Domaining isn't just about buying. Domaining is buying AND SELLING.
Help people by all means if you think you can, but be respectful about it, people are only trying. Arrogantly saying โget a refundโ or using the dislike button or posting these faces

(which people do) is the wrong way in going about it.
Apologies, if my comment was arrogant or you perceived it as such. You are right we should all be more respectful to each other. We are all business professionals.
However there's actually no reason for anyone to help anyone else here. Of course, I want to see everyone here make money, but lets face it, we are all competitors really. No one needs to help anyone here whatsoever. So if I told someone to get a refund, I'm doing them a favour. God knows, I wish someone told me to get a refund when I bought 200 awful holo domains when I first started. I didn't even know you could get refunds back then.
Business is hard. Making money is hard. Domaining is hard. Everything takes practice. Anything in life takes years to learn and become good at. Domaining is no different.
Buy the domains you want to buy, but don't sugar coat it for other people. You're not helping them.
Just my opinion.
