Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

sold C F N M V R .com - 1899 USD / afternic

May 2015 >>

Wow, great sale. Some people here chortled when I posted that I was confident of making a lot of money from my names - I have at least twenty, maybe thirty smut vr names of better quality than that and smutty vr is only going to get bigger.

Also, fair play to Lucid. Some people also chortled when he said he wouldn't sell his big name for less than $xxx, xxx.

yeah well they can chortle all they want.. like I always said the naysayer has to dig way deep to find something negative to say about VR.... whereas the positive is all over the surface.. don't need to dig at all.

I got about 20 of those too... I'd say.

when comes to endusers, a domain is worth what a buyer will pay for it.

I only just worked that name out, and I've spent plenty of time looking for decent adult VR names :xf.smile:

Like you say I think there are loads of better adult VR names than that, so this is a really promising sign.

You're missing an "x" off that $xxx,xxx. :xf.wink:

umm what's the significance of CFNM? is it a "sexy" term? like NSFW?

Clothed Female(s), Nude/Naked Male(s)

Pretty big and specific niche within that industry so not suprised with the price paid.

I always list them on GD, Sedo and Afternic, it doesnt matter which order you do it in, but never put a BIN on them. I have done this before and if you get lucky (or unlucky) and some deep-pocketed end-users comes along, you often live to regret it when the WHOIS changes and you see who they are.

Dragging up an older post playing catchup...

A great point. The negative side of course is you don't get the same level of exposure with fast transfer and MLS listings. You could argue one big sale could equal a bunch of BIN sales combined. Food for thought. I've set BINS on all my names for a 6 month trial.

Many end users are pig ignorant when it comes to the internet and domains, one search at their registrar can close a sale that may have never happened otherwise.

Heads up to everyone with names regged at Namesilo, they've recently added payment plans. Check out urbanvr.king to see it in action.

Final tip @LucidDomains and Godaddy Auctions. If you add your names to afternic first, they're automatically added to Godaddy Auctions, if you don't want to be lowballed to death, set min pricing above $20. If you set a BIN price the min offer on GD auctions will be 20-30% of your BIN price Saves a bunch of time not having to upload to GD auctions too.

Just been through this all last week. Afternic doesn't add the domains to GoDaddy Auctions. It adds the domains to GoDaddy Search only. I realised this late, and finally added my domains to both Afternic and GoDaddy separately. I then started receiving GoDaddy offers.

So yeah I thought originally, adding to Afternic would cover all of GoDaddy, but that's not that case. Make sure you add them to both.

I've picked up a few mediocre Dn's and unfortunately a lot more crap ones than I'd like to admit. I'm never going to compete with a trained eye but where would you suggest I look for existing VR domains that are dropping or currently for sale that are borderline?
