Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Glad you're receiving lots of traffic on your Virtually+keyword domain, I have the VR+f***** version, don't know about traffic because I redirect all the domains to my website and I didn't set google analytics, because I don't really need it really.

Majority of traffic is coming from Russia.
Btw....sent you a pm

have a broker working on a vr+kw.com sale.. he said buyers offering 800pounds, but he can get more he said. so I guess I let him try... this keyword is not so short.

also got today a namesilo market (my first there) 1k offer right offbat on a short vr+kw.com .. my listed bin there is 4.5k.

with a 1k starting offer, its hard not to counter.. even if he didn't do 4.5k bin, it doesn't mean he would not be willing to pay it as worst case scenario for him.. we all try to pay as little as possible I guess...

both are 2017 handregs.

hope to report a sale or two soon here.

I'm floored you're getting those offers on 2017 handregs. That's impressive. You must be a visionary to see what others can't see, until it's put before them? Hope it works out. If the market is starting to ramp for VR names I might start putting mine out there and see what happens.

I was looking at expired domains and a gem flashed up...VRdomains. Auction ends in 6 days. It had one bid, so I was wondering when the action would pick up. Just now I see it has three bids. GD value $4515. This one should give us a good idea of the value for prime VR+keyword. Hope someone here gets it and builds a site to just list VR domains for sale. I know there's a poster here that has a website VRdomainNames that lists some of his good domains on it.

As a buyer/seller/speculator of domains, and more specifically someone who owns and is speculating on/in the VR Domain market.... My initial reaction was Wow! What a great name!.... But, then after a few minutes I started to think about who might want this name and what are the possible uses for this name.... it occurred to me that it is a pretty nice name that would appeal to all of us ”domainers”, but to an outside entity it may not hold as much gumption.

It will be interesting to see what it sells for and what use it is put to.

I think there is good potential for development within the domain industry but aside from that I can’t see any other use. Therefore, it says to me that the market for this name is very small... I’m not sure if it will give a proper representation of a VR+keyword domain. However in the end it only takes one person with a million bucks to make a domain name worth a million bucks! LOL!

I agree, not sure what it ends up going for. I would buy it for less than $250 just to build a website on to sell my own VRdomains. I believe it will go above that, so wanted to give a head's up to the board and hope that one of our posters picks it up.

I wouldn't quite look towards that sale as an indicator of the market. That is a pure domainer domain and domainers are notoriously frugal. I know when I was looking to build a marketplace to sell my VR Domains I decided to pick up and develop the twitter account @VRDomains instead. The domain VRDomainNames in com was still available to hand reg and I left it alone. I built my site on TheVRStore/com at the time. But it's still a nice name to have though.

I had once vrdomains..org
not sure if I dropped it
I can't recall
I also owned VRdomainer..com
pretty sure I dropped that one

domain/domains keyword can pass for realestate related VR Stuff... VR estate viewings etc.. its not the ideal keyword for it.. but a doamin can definitely be also a pice of estate.. land... etc.

whereas the keyword domainer.. well.. there aren't two uses for that one for sure :)

cheers

I don't give much credence to GD's estimated values, but they really like it at $4500. Domainer is basically just known to domainers. Even my spell check doesn't know it's a word.:) The name is up to 5 bids with 4 different bidders! Why are they bidding with six days to go???

yeah.. if I were you (or me).. I'd not give ANY credence to those gd values.. or any valuators for that matter ;)

cheers

Good points. I looked up the .net and the owner is asking $600-$800, but that doesn’t mean much. I looked up your Twitter handle and I’m already following you.:) You don’t tweet much. I feel I have as good of VR names as most and I still don’t know how to price them. It’s great hearing from you guys that have actually sold VR names, because it gives the rest of us real sale numbers to go by when appraising our domains.

Just been to see Ready Player One and have to say Speilberg has produced another great film that will heavily influence a generation.

Half way through it dawned on me how VR and Blockchain tech is a massive game changer which left me feeling exited but also very unsettled by the sheer scale of what’s being created.

It should be interesting to see what affect Ready Player One will have on the industry. If it will encourage people to get out there and try VR for themselves (who hadn't already). I haven't seen the movie yet, but I imagine a few million will - so it should give VR a good boost. It's amazing, I still talk to people who don't even know what VR is, so hopefully this movie will change that. Even if the movie sucks, the fact it makes people aware of VR is a good thing.

It will be an accelerator of the vr industry and the sales of vr domains, I have no doubt.

I wish you good sales to all.

Mario.

Any of you folks ever have your domains listed on GD auctions without you doing it? I noticed several of mine listed for buy now $8999. GD is where my names are registered.

VR/APPLIANCES dotcom

@End Game Must be listed by previous owner of the domain. Happens with me all the time at afternic and sedo but never happened till now at GD, so not entirely sure. Write to [email protected] and ask them to remove the listing and add it yourself.

Thanks I was wondering about that. I've owned some of them since last summer, so surprising they are still listed. At least they are priced fairly high.
