Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Call them 'Virtual reality experiences,' because that's what the cool kids say

Don't call them VR "movies" or "narratives" or "stories" — the word shall be "experience," and "experience" shall be the word. For the time being, anyway.

As VR has gained a strong foothold at film festivals around the world, a whole host of clunky terms have been used to describe what filmmakers and other pioneering artists have been cooking up for us to watch in headsets. But at this year's Sundance Film Festival, it's clear that the VR creators' community is ready to coin it.

Thanks for posting that, I never knew Oculus had a "head of experiences" job title, I guess that can only be a +

'Experiences’ is the domain I get most enquiries for *fingers crossed* that big offer comes in for it one day.

I'd say that's a natural post-Christmas slump and nothing to be surprised about. People were obviously searching a lot in November and December when they were looking to buy presents.

I bet if we had access to in-store VR searches like on Steam, Google Play, Oculus Store etc, we'd find search requests are continuing to increase as new VR hardware owners look for more apps, games and videos. They don't need to use Google search for that.

decisions suck.

Lol...midnight tonight.

Hard to believe you and the buyer are still playing games with one another.

Despite being worth more, IMO, if you need the cash, take it and run. It's a solid offer for a solid name.

If you don't need the cash, on to the next. Either way, given your portfolio of vr names you should have plenty more gems to play with.

I would say there's no point getting hyped up over each VR gambling article that pops up. We're still about 2-3 years away.

I completely disagree, respectively of course. ;)

It's very good to know what the plans and expectations are for the future in any industry. Particularly if you were holding real estate in that industry. It would be a real shame to have a great name that you let drop because you weren't aware of future predictions for that market.

For a price of $5-$10/yr per... I would think it would make sense to keep all your gambling VR names reg'd for three years minimum...

You may be sitting on a jackpot!

Ah...somehow thought this one was from a direct email offer. Yep, that darn GD drag your feet for a week requirement.

...gl either way.

we was just playing with words. lucid is as lucid as they come. and he's no naysayer either :)

but truth of the matter is.. no matter which niche of VR we talk abotu, it'll take a while for things to mature.. so we can experience them better.. or fully.. its a hardware thing.. and its' an eveyrthign thing. so in that sense.. everything will have a sort of a min wait time... even if some things we'll be talking about before some others.. or in our case, even if our adult domains may start selling more or for more money before say.. gambling domains

heh

but its a good thing.
every auction site should be setup in this way.
just bind seller andbuyer for X days to offer.
forget that bs about canceling old offers as soon as you make new one.
that some old style cowboy indian western stuff. nothing should get deleted.. no one gets shot.. everyone stays alive. til they.. well.. expire.

Nah! I disagree. It adds complacency and opportunity for one to change their mind. Plus it's a major time waster, and that's a deal breaker for me.

Different strokes for different folks.

If I remember correctly, don't you still have the option to send domains to auction on GD even after countering? I'm sure I've done that before when it became apparent the offer wasn't going to be improved any further.

oh yes! thats; true I actually forgot about it
though at this particular stage for this parrticular keyword.. category killer as it may be for its own niche.. I do not believe it'll get it higher.. but hey.. your right.. why should I just accept the offer if I do decide to do that.. when I can just send it to auction .. thanks for this tip. I just forgot.

Yeah obviously there's a good chance there'll be no higher bids, but if you were in a position where you were going to accept an offer anyway, it's always worth considering.

I don't think anyone who posts regularly in this thread is a naysayer. We've all made investments no matter how big or small, if someone posts a negative article or disagrees with others about a certain something in regards to VR, it doesn't mean they've turned to the darkside and are no longer on the VR train.

There's blips in every industry, there's disagreements in every industry, you've got to talk about blips and negativity along with the positives.

If everything is all positive about VR right now then i would be concerned and probably sell my domains quickly as possible as i know it would have limitations and not going to improve any more, so me personally i love reading negative articles and i love reading peoples doubts (including having a moan about things myself), because that means i can see VR still has a long way to go.

I'm investing in its potential, not the now.

I know.. that's some amazing stats for newborn baby with 1% brain capacity.. and 2016 as year zero for it.

far as I know still sitting at 200 billion market predictions by 2020

I mean who expects or forces their baby to walk and talk when it comes right of the mommy hole.. that's just twisted sick mate
I honestly cannot see it possible to sell 1bn headsets at $100 each ($100bn from headsets+$100bn from software and etc), within 4 years I really don't see it happen, but in 2025 sure, it's very possible, even if Apple joins the VR game this year I think the $200bn market size cannot be reached before the end of 2022.

I wish I would have invested more in VR + keyword domains. So far I'm enjoying these VR memes and videos that I see on Facebook, it just shows how viral it is becoming.

Absolutely, and even more so if you are late to the game, I collected pretty much all my VR gambling chestnuts already. Now it's all about waiting for when VR gambling really takes off. (y)

Wow! Great memory there. LearnGuitarVR was actually my sale ;) Well, so far I haven't gotten paid. That's due to a problem with Flippa escrow service though.

The reason I regged it was that the phrase "learn guitar" had a lot of searches. So great name for anybody doing something in that niche. Fair price for the buyer also I think.
