Below you will see the FAQ's on ENOMCENTRAL.com (A DEMAND MEDIA OWNED PROPERTY)

The two Faq's I put in bold seem to contradict themself. Quinn which is it ? Prices can increase or Verisign will honor the entire time someone holds a premium domain?

Thank you

Frequently Asked Questions about .TV Premium Domain Names
Premium Name Pricing

How is the pricing of premium names determined?
The cost of each premium name is decided by VeriSign, who is the official registry for the .TV top level domain. As the exclusive retailer for .TV Premium Names, Demand Media and its brands eNom, eNomCentral, eNom.tv and ME.tv, have aggressively set premium name pricing to help drive adoption of the .TV brand.

Why are certain .TV domains considered premium?
The original .TV registry, The .TV Corporation, selected a limited number of generic names and assigned variable prices based on various factors. As a result, this has kept a steady stream of high quality domains available for businesses and the general public.

What is the process for deciding which name is a premium? Might a name currently on the premium list will become non-premium in the future?
The list of premium domains is determined solely by VeriSign, who is the .TV registry. Our role is simply as the exclusive registrar for the .TV premium names under the conditions set by the registry.

Premium Name Renewal
Will the renewal rate ever go up?
Annual renewal fees for .TV premium names will be the same as the initial "Buy Now" registration price. Demand Media is required by law to also inform its customers that renewal prices are “subject to change.” This is because, as a retailer, Demand Media doesn’t determine or control the cost of names; they are set by VeriSign, who is the official .TV registry.

Are .TV names only being renewed on a yearly basis? Can I get a discount by agreeing to a longer term contract?
When purchasing a new .TV domain name, customers are given the option of securing one, two, three, four five and ten-year registrations. Presently, we do not offer multi-year renewals.

Will larger up-front payments reduce yearly renewal?
Presently, we do not offer larger up-front payments to reduce yearly renewals.

Is VeriSign reserving the right to change a registrant's renewal price sometime in the future, post registration?
Verisign will honor the original contract that the registrant entered into. The terms under which their premium .TV name was registered at the time of registration will be constant for as long as they hold that name.

If I purchased a premium .TV domain name before May 1, 2007, can I renew at the price I bought the name for?
Yes, renewals will be available shortly and will be the same fee as the initial domain registration.

If I purchased a premium .TV domain name after May 1, 2007, can I go back and add additional years?
Yes, this capability will be available shortly and the fee for the additional years will be the same as the initial domain registration.

Hey Equity.

I'd like to see all of our questions for Quinn posted here and not just this particular one on pricing (although it may be the most important). Perhaps you can work with James @ allthings.tv to post all of his questions as well.

My guess, based merely on a couple years of psyche is that they don't have a consensus between the three companies or these things would have been answered last week when tensions were heavy around here.

The lack of answers seems to be even more telling then the confusing jumbled response we will actually get. My prediction is that in a nutshell: whatever we will be told will only raise more questions.

With last wednesday being the fourth, you've got people on vacation the previous weekend, people gone the last half, etc. If they are dealing with more than one company in resolving questions, getting things done that last week or so mighta been difficult.
