This happended for Godaddy Expiring domains auction only, and I have seens this for so many times on Godaddy...
Typically, you will find some high value expiring domains auction suddenly jump to a very high price, which is at an unexpected price level to prevent other bidders place a bid.
Then if you look into these bids careflly, you can find:
Those high bids are come from two bidders who placed bids over each other in a very short time, in the 1st day of an auction started (When the bid are still very low), and MUST PUSH the price to an unreseanable high level before other serious bidder place bids
Then what will happen?
- After auction closed, the winner will not send payment. Then godaddy will automatically send a mail to the 2nd higher bidder to ask does he want to buy or not. And the buy price is where he started fights with the "winner", normally high $xx - low $xxx.
Then these guys get valued expiring domains at very low price, and what they lost is $5 for opening a Godaddy auction account only.
If you don't believe, login your godaddy account and have a look for two ongoing auctions: bzt.com and jxxj.com...
There have so many semilar situation in the past... What do your guys think about this? And what should we do?
And... Does Godaddy know this?...
(Notes: Not like namejet to put an unpaid domain back for 2nd time or sometimes even 3rd time auction, Godaddy never moves unpaid expiring auction domains back for another round auction...)
