Transferring a domain away from Hostgator

I'm transferring a domain away from Hostgator and I received the Transfer confirmation email with a link to cancel, otherwise transfer will proceed in 5 days.

Is there any way to expedite/approve transfer so I don't have to wait? I'm looking all over the domain manager and I see nothing. Is it hidden somewhere?

Sorry you will have to wait 5-7 days or in worst case could be more.

You may try calling their support but be aware, that has backfired on me before
