Transfer from Sedo to GoDaddy

SpaceshipSpaceship
Watch
I just purchased a domain name from Sedo.

Sedo has asked me to initiate a transfer request from my registrar.

I want to transfer it to my account at Godaddy.

How do I do this?

Thanks in advance....

hi,

I guess since they told you to initiate a transfer request that the name you purchased is not at godaddy. You need to got here:

http://www.godaddy.com/domains/domain-transfer.aspx?

there you enter the domain name that you purchased and you pay for a transfer to godaddy. Sedo will then provide you with the codes that will be necessary to complete this transfer. You will enter those from within your domain manager under transfers. It is in the same area where you would go to accept an account change.

Hope this helps.

Hi
I know you got an answer,

but for clarity to other readers:

you aren't really transferring from sedo to godaddy

because sedo isn't a registrar.

the transfer is from the sellers registrar to yours (@ godaddy)

if the domain is at a registrar where both buyer and seller have an account, sedo can act as "go-between". where the domain is pushed to their (sedo's) account, then subsequently "pushed" to buyers account.

within godaddy, this is know as "account change or change of ownership", but doesn't incur a transfer fee, as does a domain transfer from one registrar to another.

imo....
