Total Newbie need advice

Hi All

I just found out about Domaining and have no clue, I joined here to see how to get started, I have read alot of the forums here but still unclear on how to get started. I have yet to buy my first domain just waiting to learn more.
Any start off help will be greatly appriciated

Well, you can start by reading all the threads in here.
Since a few start the same as yours and answers are in there.

Search the forum (and internet) for valuation methods. Go very slow if you're just starting out. Most newbies make silly mistakes when they are just starting out, I know I did.

Other than that, you'd need to ask a very specific question to receive better advice.

You'd done the right thing already by not jumping in to buy any domains yet.

Take a couple of weeks to digest some of the information on this forum. Once you feel you're ready to take the leap, register your first domain. Then, come back and have it appraised. You'll likely find its not worth much, but you'll gain a lot of insight into why the domain wasn't worthwhile registering and how to avoid such mistakes in the future.

Who knows, you might stumble upon a gem and show us all up :gl:

I too am a newcomer but it seems .com has greatest flipping opportunity followed by .net, org, me,co, info. Seems like there are no good domains to hand register. If you want to just flip domain , i think namejet has some good names. If you want to hand reg "Available domain names" section of namepros seems like a good place to start. using coupon also helps. Just some tips. Hope it helps .
