Alright, I have few advices to give you, from one beginner to another:

1. Take a rest from registering/purchasing any domains for a while, and start lurking this forum and all of it's "famous" posts in order to understand what a good domain is, and what tools to use in order to approve it.
Just keep reading as much as you can.

2. Focus only on .COM's for now, it's global, and i believe it is the easiest extension to sell and handle.

3. As for your portfolio, nothing really caught my attention..

Good luck buddy..

Hi Zac123,

Welcome to domain investing! Good move by you to use the forums to learn. It might be a good idea to slow down on the buying till you learn a bit more.

Decide what type of domain investor you want to be, and get really good at being that. For example, do you want to flip domains in quick sales, or just focus on the killer deals. Is it more important to have passive income every month, or to have domains that will have future demand. Each requires a different buying strategy. Noodle that and continue your knowledge quest.

Specific and immediate advice from me, stick with quality .COM for most usage. New gTLDs might be a good choice for building a new brand, but only if the registry increases market awareness of the TLD. Some new gTLDs have great direct navigation potential, but that traffic will not come till you see domains using the new gTLDs on TV ads and on the sides of city buses. Till then .COM is king.

Cheers!
Victor

I'll 3rd the suggestions on sticking with .COM's for now. While I'm new as well, I have a mix of EMD's, hand reg generics, and just a couple of "killer" names. I'm trying to diversify I guess, until I know which type I'm more suited for, but Victor's comment above makes sense about focusing on a single type of investing.

Hi Victor,
first of all thanks for taking the time to reply. At the moment I have not only slowed down but stopped altogether for as 1st to trial the ones I have bought (just to test the waters) and 2nd to read as much as I can on the domain subject. I do understand that .com is and will be for the next years the strongest and yes I will try to focus on it. Google domains are not available in my country at the moment so let's see how they'll go. I absolutely agree with you about the gTLDS. It will be interesting to see how the marketing part of it goes.
Thank you again for your time - much appreciated :)

I can completely understand what you mean. At the end of the day one has to try, do their homework and wish for the best. As a newbie in the specific field I just had to give a shot on diversity, as I mentioned before one has to test the waters :)
Dann-o, thank you for taking the time :)

Welcome! I agree with the other members about concentrating on .COM and stop buying domains until you have a clear understanding of what is valuable. Best wishes on your future domain business...

I am new to Namepros too and I am totally addicted to it! I am also addicted to domaining--not so much for the money--but for all the creative angles to it. It is very challengeing.
And thanks to all who post here. I hold you responsible for my addiction! heh
