After google decision is it worth investing in xyz extension? Will it's value increase?

I kind of liked when Negari forwarded all traffic from Com.com to Gen.xyz (not anymore).
I wonder how much he paid for leasing that domain?!
I have no idea about any of his leasing habits. The whois has the same contact for XYZ.com as XYZ.XYZ so I am assuming that he (and/or the his company) owns them both.
XYZ.COM has been owned since 1994. He has time invested and I am sure a certain amount of traffic (type in, links, and natural) that he does not want to lose. I am not faulting the guy for this... I just find it a bit funny.
If you are going to redirect... great... but dont come out and state that you are done with .COMs when you are still using them even as a redirect.
I know why he made those statements... for the free publicity.
Come on... you have to admit that it is comical that he is still using the .COM to capture traffic.
Cheers.
Also I think that Negari's "anti .COM campaign" (including the Negari.com auction) is more or less a publicity stunt. He knows that these statements will give attention in the press, on forums (such as now) and in the IT world.
Also, that Verisign lawsuit might also be a reason for this "bashing".
You never know, google could start ranking xyz domains at par with .com (and with more weightage than other extensions) .
So a extension backed by Google sure needs to be taken seriously!
Hey why did you buy negari.com? whats in there?
So...it has begun. The .xyz ranks just as well as .com.You never know, google could start ranking xyz domains at par with .com (and with more weightage than other extensions) .
Even .ooo will rank as well as .com. Google treats them all same!So...it has begun. The .xyz ranks just as well as .com.
.xyz will probably defeat .mobi!:P
