Just got this email, thought I'd share it here :)

http://www.dotster.com/domains/register/?campn=DOTmay07_finfo-reg

This weekend only, buy any non-.info domain and get a one year .info for free. Protect your new ideas for free by registering the .info along with your other domains.

This promotion is only available through this newsletter, it will not be advertised on our site.

Enter coupon code "freeinfo" in the check-out section of the billing process to receive your free .info's.

One free .info per order, no limit on orders per account.

This offer is good for only new .info registrations, and only with the purchase of other new domain registrations—transfers and renewals do not apply. Not valid with any other offer. Offer ends May 21.

I'll just stick with GoDaddy .99 cent .info reg's... You don't have to buy anything else and that is who all the rest of my names are reg'd with.

green, I'm with you. $.99 and no strings but renewal or multiple year purchases are regular price.

Yeah, I'm with that as well. Buy them with no strings attached

There's no strings attached with this promo either... You buy a domain and you get the .info for free. It's not like you are being ripped off.

And therein lies the string: You have to pay, what? $15 or whatever for a non-.info just to get a .info free whereas you could reg 15 .info's at GoDaddy for the same price (and technically, you'll have money left over, albeit only scrap change).

They might have crappy prices, but if you use them with those prices it's nothing different. (I didn't see what their prices were for non-.com's [because their domain check froze my browser] so, yes, that's a pretty bad price. ;))
