Apologies for not joining in the conversations and not getting back to a couple of PM's over the past few days. I've had to travel home after a family bereavement to sort things out. I don't think I'll be around too much for the next week or so either.

Without being too slushy, I just thought I'd come on the forum to remind everyone not to forget how precious our time is - and to not forget that fact.

I personally have decided to be slightly MORE adventurous rather than less, to be more available to people, rather than less, and to ONLY do things I WANT to do.

One of the things I want to do is let many of the people on this forum know how much I appreciate the time they have given to help 'ease' me into the forum and understand that many of us have the same 'developer' dreams.

In the midst of a particularly shitty week I've started to think more about the good stuff in life - and feel many people here need to know they have my respect - and I'm glad I came across them.

I've just read about people's reasons for being involved in (or not liking) the world of .TV - this was quite eye-opening.

I think many of us on this forum are in TV for the long-run, and many are lining themselves up to be the 'instigators' of a new internet TV world. Good on you for working to make these individual dreams come true - I hope we are all meeting and enjoying our chosen vocations in a future where people have discovered we were right to pursue .TV with such vigour.

To those with a dream of making something of their virtual property - enjoy every moment - these are the days that we will all remember when we are old and grey.

To those with a fear - forget it. Fear is just another excuse for not doing the things you always hoped you could.

To those with commitments - keep them.

To those who bought a TV name because they had a great idea - DON'T forget that idea!

Many set off to go from A to Z.
Sadly, by the time they have got to J or K or L, they forget why they set off on the journey or know how to carry on. All they see is J or K or L - and it is miles away from where they were happy or where they want to be.
Remember, remember - what your dream was in the first place - and why you should continue.

bIG regards

My condolences, James, and thank you for encouraging us to reflect on the positive.

All the world may be a stage, but it is we who ultimately choose the roles we play.

The best of luck in all you choose to do, JB.

I understand all too well.

Know that your friends here at NPs will always lend an ear. I'm sure I speak for the majority of NPs members in wishing you well and of course our heart felt condolences.

Your post is touching and speaks volumes about of the author. I think the first and most important step has been made. Recognizing the wondrous gifts in our lives is a sobering and empowering realization. It sounds like, in taking stock, you have recognized the drive to live well in honor and gratitude.

God bless your family
