Stock markets are headed for a 40 percent plunge, says economist who predicted financial crisis

https://www.yahoo.com/news/stock-markets-headed-40-percent-220900734.html

In the article, the man says Donald Trump will not win the election in 2020, I think his prediction luck has ran out on him.

This is the weakest Democratic pool of candidates ever, although Biden got some love in South Carolina, I still think Sanders holds the golden chip, and Sanders can't beat Trump IMO

He may be right about the stock market, but he's a bit of a fool. He's smart but puffed up with ego, anger and I suspect a fair bit of drugs and hookers and the need for attention.

It’ll be Biden one way or another. He’s always been the best chance to beat Trump. We’ll have a better idea Tuesday. Trump is screwing up big time right now.

Remember that time Obama released 5000 Taliban prisoners?
...
...
...
...
Oops - wasn’t him. But that’s what potus is doing in this deal with the Taliban...

“The deal also provides for a prisoner swap. Some 5,000 Taliban prisoners and 1,000 Afghan security force prisoners would be exchanged by 10 March, when talks between the Taliban and the Afghan government are due to start.

The US will also lift sanctions against the Taliban and work with the UN to lift its separate sanctions against the group.”

Two weeks ago Pompeo was saying we wouldn’t do that, but whatevs.

This will ultimately put the Taliban back in charge. Let’s see how that goes - probably not well for the women in that region.

Corona Virus Truth Bomb.... Thanks Kevin Hennessy

I’m so shocked at how out of proportion this has got.

*Huge annual events cancelled in multiple countries

*Easyjet Shares down 18%

*Chinese Grand Prix cancelled

*Rugby Games cancelled

*Total cost to airlines so far $30 Billion

*Total flight cancellations 260,000 flights

*Cathay Pacific have over 50% of their fleet grounded.

*International border crossings closed and people turned away from countries.

*Turkey and Pakistan have both closed borders with Iran

*People panic buying

*Nurses in Hebei Province apparently having their heads forcibly shaved to prevent further infection

*So many industries and trades affected- Retail, Healthcare, Tech, Tourism and E-Commerce are just a few examples.

We could easily cause major disruption to the global economy if we carry on as we are......this will be a HUGE problem.

So here’s the rough reality:

This thing has killed around 3000 people, out of what is now verging on 80,000 confirmed cases......

That’s a death rate of around 4% - 3000 out of 80,000 since NYE when the first case was reported.

So let’s say hypothetically for arguments sake say that in the first quarter of 2020 the Corona Virus has killed 3000 people.......

Let’s presume, just to be dramatic that the spread continues despite overwhelming international effort....... and that mortality rate goes up by 50% with each quarter, unlikely but we’re being dramatic about this.....

So that’s

Q1- 3000 people

Q2- 4500 people

Q3- 6750 people

Q4- 10,125 people

Let’s be even more dramatic just for banter and 4x that number - you get 40,500 people...... based on the speed it’s spreading and killing those numbers are waaaaay over what is more than likely the reality.

Screw it, let’s 10x that number worst case scenario - we’re now at 405,000.

THE COMMON COLD/STANDARD FLU KILLS 646,000 PEOPLE A YEAR GLOBALLY.

‼️Another example of the worlds media creating fear and panic for whatever reason or as a way to distract us from something else‼️

This post isn’t for scientific accuracy, but to help people understand PERSPECTIVE, in the grand scheme of things. It’s about proportional response to a crisis and how this effects the global economy.

Also guess what happens to cases that don’t die? They literally get over it..... 80,000 confirmed cases doesn’t mean 80,000 people have it NOW....... it’s the amount of people who have caught this new strain of FLU since NYE- that’s literally it.

Most of them have now been discharged

Can we all calm down a bit now please?

Also, mosquitos kill over 1000 people a day..... you don’t see people wearing full body mosquito nets down the street...

White supremacist was out of prison 86 days when stabbed man to death
Minyvonne Burke NBC News•February 29, 2020

A white supremacist gang member in California who had been out of prison just three months when he stabbed a 22-year-old man to death was sentenced Friday to 56 years to life.

Craig Matthew Tanber stabbed Shayan Mazroei through the heart and in the shoulder following a confrontation at a bar in Laguna Niguel in September 2015. Mazroei died from his injuries at a hospital.

OK, I'm somewhat confused... if this happened in 2015, why are they only reporting it now?

Glenn Beck at CPAC: The Bernie Sanders Revolution Will Lead to ‘Another Holocaust’
https://www.mediaite.com/politics/glenn-beck-at-cpac-the-bernie-sanders-revolution-will-lead-to-another-holocaust/

And, please, let us stop calling them Bernie bros. Because they are not my brother. They are not something that is funny. They are Bernie Bolsheviks. They are Bernie Brownshirts. That’s what they are. And their revolution will result in death and misery. Another Holodomor. Or another Holocaust. Or whatever we call the next great socialist atrocity.

So far, the death rate is 2%, but that's out of reported cases. Since most people have very mild symptoms, or even no symptoms, you can be sure that most cases have not been reported. The actual death rate is probably considerably lower.

I talked or a friend on Skype last night, Gilsan. In your neighborhood and confined to her hotel because of the outbreak there. A family member came from Canada to ski in Hokkaido, and he's worried about return flights being blocked. But enjoying empty slopes. Things are starting to sell out in supermarkets as panic snowballs. Even I join in, because otherwise we'll be stuck without certain staples. First masks, then toilet paper, then rice and pasta...

The spread might be very limited in Japan as the weather warms, and people are already obsessive here. They wash their hands frequently, and even in normal times do things like not touching the handrail when using escalators. Good ideas anyway in a crowded place. And the PM s cancelling crowded events left and right - though he's more worried about his precious 2020 Olympics than anything else.

The impact on the economy is going to be massive, possibly worse than 2008, which we know was the worst depression in all of world history.:xf.wink:

There is almost certainly something going on behind the scenes, as it's hard to see how the response matches the disease. Hard to see how it will play out, too. Wouldn't want to be holding a lot of stocks now. Think they may bump up as the fear subsides, but crash again when the delayed effects kick in. Most people I know are losing money - except those who have regular salaried jobs.

Donald J. Trump
Pete Buttigieg is OUT. All of his SuperTuesday votes will go to Sleepy Joe Biden. Great timing. This is the REAL beginning of the Dems taking Bernie out of play - NO NOMINATION, AGAIN!

It's so obvious but good move, the Bernie vs. Dems/Biden. We'll see if it works and they stay home.

@Domainace recession, not Depression, your continued reading struggles, I can see why reading struggle buddy Gilsan is loving your posts.

----------------------------
Buttigieg should fall in line and support Biden, same with Steyer.

First Iowa, now even Texas? Get your people together, round them all up. Resettle them in a state we're not using that much like one of the Dakotas. Then build that wall, wall those commies in.

Freedom of speech 'no longer exists' in Australia and the UK: Katie Hopkins
Stringent government control and oppressive social media platforms are forcing Australians to self-censor themselves, according to controversial media personality Katie Hopkins.

Ms Hopkins, who is known for her strident support of Donald Trump and Boris Johnson, says social media giants like Twitter and Facebook often punish those whose views fall out of the mainstream.

She told Sky News freedom of speech, which was once the bedrock of democracy, "no longer exists" in many western nations. "Frankly, no one would defend freedom of speech to their death because we (Australia and the UK) don't have it anymore," she said.

"Good Australians that I know and I love, they self-censor everywhere they go because they can no longer speak about how they think or how they feel. "It's the mechanism of control."

On this interview Katie mentions the musical "The Assassination Of Katie Hopkins" that was actually funded by the UK Government in 2018.

Imagine if someone wrote a Musical called "The Assassination of Sadiq Khan" (the Muslim Mayor of London) just imagine the uproar to that. Very bad taste in my opinion and the writers needs a bullet between the eyes for thinking this is clever.

SHAME on the British government and shame on Liberal jackasses that think only they own the truth...
