Hi dear friends,

I recently had some interests in buying a Chinese LLLL.com domain name. Then I found the owner's information, and successfully connected with him on QQ.

The seller was really rude. My offer was $1500 USD (the domain's market value at the moment is around 1100 USD), but the seller replied me "Go fxxk away, I am not interested in this offer. My minimum offer $15,000 USD. No negotiation. Otherwise don't fxxking bother me." After that he blocked me.

Sometimes I ask myself, did I offend him? I was very polite and nice, and I tried to find out a mutual price that both parties feel comfortable with. But unfortunately this experience was horrible.

Beside this person, I also experienced another 3-4 really arrogant and proud domainers that really see me as a shit. I feel confused- maybe they have depression? They dont want to build up sales network and make more friends?

My question is: So what is the rudest domainer have you ever experienced?

I actually experienced a domainer like that on an auction I held here on NP. As always, I sent a pm to winner with my payment info, etc. My message requested they confirm once payment was made.

After sending the winner the pm, I walked away from the computer to do whatever. Next thing I know, I get a rather rude pm saying that they paid "3 minutes ago" and that it was rude of me not to have instantly pushed the domain.

I was like, "Are you kidding?". Did you actually just pm me that you had been waiting 3 minutes? I just pushed the domain and forgot about it. I thought I had heard it all.

They probably have some serious insecurities and poor self-worth. Makes then get offended easily and they feel the need to be rude cos for that brief moment they feel good about themselves.

I've had rude domainers on the other end of the equation, wanting to buy domains and contacting me via whois info. I think the one time the guy contacted me and asked me if he could buy my domain because he can see I am not using it and he has a client who is interested. I was happy to oblige and sent him a low $xxxx figure amount as my price. He replied back saying I am on drugs and that domains cost $10 and he is willing to offer me 10 x what I paid for it. ($100). He then said I would be a f*cking idiot that has no brains if I dont accept it. ...

I replied back and said "No thanks. I'm not just a f*cking idiot with no brains... I am a f*cking idiot with no brains that has a domain you want, cheers"

Why hard to believe?
Because most namepros members are really very nice and appreciative except this one individual, nasty and rude..hard to to the core... oh well...

Nothing worse than sellers who give no price range and then b*tch when your offer doesn't please them.

plenty of sellers like that here

I have been lately very nice to those lowballers. I even respond to $100 offers at flippa.
Sometimes I send buyers to go fuck themself, if they want to be know at all-s. And say that market value is $100 or something like that. But those lowballers are very annoying.

Well, you can rest assure that if, in fact, the domain in question is really worth low $xxxx, he wont ever sell it. Not expecting $15k! AND with that attitude!!
He's not hurting you. He's only hurting himself. :hurting::hungover::blackeye:

You can sit back and be glad that he showed his true colors right off the bat,
instead of stringing you along on ride to nowhere.

Lol.. would love to know who you talking about. I do have an idea of who it could be... but there are 2 people who I think are emotionally unstable enough to resort to that kind of behavior...

Lol... that's insane dude, well done for keeping your cool and not telling him to go do cartwheels on the highway. . :xf.grin:

Sometimes you just catch people on a bad day and they get super annoyed that for the thousandth time a domainer offered them market value for a 4L .com . Which is really pointless. Why would you offer market value for a 4L .com ? Anyone can sell it for that price anytime they want. I never responded rude , but I can understand the sellers annoyance.

People on namepros generally offer market value because we're all resellers. To me at least, it's pretty naive to market domain names to investors for end user prices. Especially when sellers don't put up a price range or BIN, then why would a seller be surprised to be offered market value? If you want to sell your name for end user prices, then market it to end users

Huh, this has nothing to do with namepros, it's a contact from whois info. Why would you assume he is marketing to resellers? Also, I never seen the OP say there was no price range.

My fault, I was just saying in general. Didn't see you guys talking about a specific indecent.

These experiences can be disappointing and frustrating, if you let them. Unfortunately, there are incorrigible people on both sides of the equation.

Doing something long enough in life eventually leads to a fair share on either side, even in domaining...or rather, especially in domaining.

Shake it off and on to the next, IMO.

I think the purpose of this post to remind each of us to be nice to others, no matter we as seller or buyer. Blessings!
