Introducing the New Revolution in Domain Parking Services, where the clients actually matter this time around - Bodis.com.

That's right. We have negotiated the highest possible revenue share with third party ad providers, and out of this we are giving our clients a lifetime of 100% revenue.

Today is the beginning of CHANGE in the domain industry. Many of us are tired of all the domain parking programs that hone in most of what we should be receiving. The Revolution has STARTED.

As of right now, Bodis.com offers the following:

  • 100% Revenue Share
  • Search Engine Optimized Templates
  • Customizable html title, html description, and page title of templates
  • Customizable images for templates
  • Auto-optimizable and manually customizable keywords/urls for advertisements!
  • Simplistic and easy to use management interface
  • Customer support that cares about its clients
  • Customer support that responds within 1-2 days.
  • And more as the program progresses...

I am hoping the majority is happy with where we are heading in the domain industry, and that everybody here is happy to see Bodis.com. We will be working extensively on adding user suggestions and feedback into the parking service.

Hopefully we can make a difference in the industry.

Aside from this, I'd like to point out a few more things. The lifetime of 100% revenue share is applicable to anybody that applies within the next 1-2 years. The revenue share may decrease after that only for new clients. Right now Bodis, LLC has the budget to keep itself afoot with 100% revenue share for another 1-2 years time.

Enjoy the website and feel free to leave any feedback/comments in this thread.

Matt, I think the safest way to keep adult domains within limits is for you to have a selection of stock photo's available and not allow users to upload pictures to adult domains, or have each uploaded picture manually approved before it goes live (that'll give you something to do at work...:))

I know it's inconvenient and it seems a little mean but you need to keep control of this right from the beginning.
I also agree. Perhaps you could show us a few examples of pics that we can or cannot use so that we all know where the borderline is, because "nudity" can differ a lot from one person to another, depending on gender, age, religion and other factors.

What about content, can we write some content, or will there also be restrictions on what we can write? It's important that we know these details so as not to screw up.

Add Austria to the list of supported countries.

We are still moving data between servers, but the stats should be updated shortly.

PS
Unfortunately, no support for Poland for first few days/weeks.

Ok, this is a stupid question, Matt, but I've been wondering it for months - ever since I got here.

Who is that in your avatar?

Have you ever played the Grand Thief Auto? It is one of the senior gangsters.

It's a pity. I will have to move for temporarily all my .pl domains to ND. I will lose some money for sure. Just let me know when you start supporting Polish traffic, then I will be back with my Polish domains to Bodis.

Thank you for information, anyway. Matt, If I can help you anyhow just let me know.

Ah, ok. Nope, never played it. I'm too old to play these new fangled games; I can kick anyone's butt in Doom 2, but that's about as far as I go.

(Actually, it looks like the psycho ex-husband of a friend of mine, which is why I finally asked)

Looks like revenue stats may take a little longer than expected, although they will be posted by tonight.

:( I understand you had some technical difficulties, but may I suggest you make getting stats out at the same time every day a top priority? Some of us depend on those stats to make future decisions and without them, we cannot proceed with our work. 3 days is a bit rough.

Well, the reason stats were delayed is because our database that holds all our clicks crashed in the middle of the 24th. As a matter fact, it was worser than that, our database became corrupted and unrepairable. Ofcoarse, we do have backups, but not by the minute.

The MySQL DBMS Enterprise technical team had to come in and repair the database, which took all of last night.

The reason why updates take so long everyday is because we analyze each click and determine the revenue to give based on click. We do not receive revenue data for each click from Google/Ask. We only receive the revenue for the entire network - it is our job to split this to all members the best we can.

We have a database of estimate bids based on keywords, positions, etc etc, which contains over 100 million keywords, and takes up more than 10 gb of data. We had to move this database to a new server last night as well, we figured we'd do it since we had the MySQL tech guys repair the other database at the same time. Now it seems that this new server hasn't been tuned correctly to handle scans of so many records, and it is taking us a while to query all those keywords.

Long story short, I can go in, tune the server, and hope for the best - but I don't want to do that right now since we are already in the middle of updating the stats for the 24th. If I go in and tune the database, we will have to restart it. And if I can't tune it correctly, then I'll have to delay for another day - I don't want to do that.

There's everything in it: gendre, sex, religion ... My point is: it is very hard to define what is pornographic which isn't. For the people from different cultures the meaning of pornography is different. Just compare Iran, where unvealed women's face is a hard porn and Holland with all their Gay, Fetish, BDSM experience. American attitude towards porn in comparison to European is very conservative ...

So what kind of photos are we allowed to place on our adult domains? I believe it should depend on the orgin of the traffic.

I think you guys know what I am saying when I say pornographic.

Let's not make this a 20 page discussion. If there is a doubt in your mind that a picture is pornographic, do not upload it.

OK, now after a very hard look at your avatar it seems (although I'm not sure) to be a priest kissing a nun. Is that correct? I allways thought it was a guy kissing a girl. If it's a priest then that kind of image is degrading to the Catholic Religion, but because its been around for so many years, most of us have sort of gotten used to it.

Still, Matt has to define in more detail and preferably with some examples what is acceptable and what is not in terms of pictures and weather explicit content can be used.

Here in Europe as you know, all Adult sites go staight into the landing page, bypassing the Adult Warning page. I personally don't see the point of this Warning Page.

It is indeed a very nasty priest kissing horny nun ;)

This WARNING page should be for American traffic only. Because of their law system (common law) American people need to be warned of drying a cat in the microwave oven, told not to iron clothes while wearing or informed that batman clothes do not make you fly ...

02/24 has been updated. 02/25, 02/26 will be updated momentarily. Sorry for the long wait!

And yes, the avatar is an animated picture of Don Corleone from The Godfather movie, which was in one of the GTA games.

I think all of us need to understand Matt needs some leeway in running this business, it is still in beta I think.

If he encounters a problem and he tells us it may be a day of a few days, then I have that much patience. You want money quick? I know of a parking company that pays twice a month. Not all parking companies pay out the same precentage so getting paid twice a month is not the important issue here. We are more interested in this program where we receive 100 % percent of revenue.

The Google support actually runs out either afternoon of 28th, or at 00:01 of 29th, that is what we have heard today. So a little more time for people to monetize the countries that we will no longer be supporting, and that gives me time to release the URL redirect feature for unmonetizaable domains, which will be available in the management in 1 hours.

We've been a little backed up today. It's been a big day.

One thing I will promise people is that v2 will be a lot easier and we'll try to get as many bugs and problems out of the way as we can before we launch, so that there's barely every any downtime, technical maintenance, delay in stats. Actually, we have a lot of improvements already in there, I'm sure people will enjoy it.

Stats for 26th are coming 20 minutes.

Redirect unmonetizeable domains feature is coming in 1 hour. That will allow you to redirect visitors from countries not supported by our current upstream ad providers, and will also allow you to redirect traffic that we mark as invalid to the destination of your choice.
