Hello, I think it would be pretty useful to keep track of all LLLL.com sales , even the little ones under $100 so that , pretty soon , when the available LLLL.com will be finished , we`ll have a better idea on market prices.

It is important that these sales are confirmed. So before to post, make sure payment went OK.

I will start with todays` Sedo confirmed sales:

FISE.com 2,700 Euros
TSRT.com US $760
VEUP.com US $1,700

Also, I found interesting to see this average LLLL, getting bids up to $51 and reserve not me. It says it all.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
today on sedo:

EIPI $800

also svpn and vemz ended in the $200 region, cant find the pages now. anyone have that info?

A great sale, for sure. 7 bidders total with three taking it up the last 500 dollars. This market is making a definite comeback. Those of us holding on for the "ride" these last couple of years are beginning to feel the breeze in our hair -- or at least the sweat cooling on our brows.

Although I must say, sometimes it's hard to tell what's going on when you stare at a screen for this long. I find myself sitting here at my desk, staring at the Snapnames homepage, and I can't for the life of me remember how it is I got there.

Now that Halvarez isn't in my auctions, it's no fun at all. I tried backordering some names just to see if I could draw him out, if he'd join me for one more round. Nope. Nada. Nil.

No sign of him. I go to the same old places, doing the same old things, but he doesn't show.

I miss the old days: waiting around in those last minutes of my auctions right up until that very last minute, those final seconds, all the while hoping like hell he didn't outbid me again.

Oh well, times are still a changing I guess.

economy has hit bottom in March and we see domain prices are slowly recovering as well.

The problem is just about the US currency a I discussed on the thread.

More players have spread out any huge drop so I am confident to say the bottom for LLLL.com prices has past and could not really get much cheaper.

More endusers in the mean time have snapped some of the lot so in the LONG term, as GOLD is, LLLL.com are a limited number. The only difference is the reg fee.

The market looks to have picked up, buts lets not lose our heads. This isn't like gold, indeed most people have lost their shirts in this niche over the last couple of years.

Don't take it as me saying these are worth buying, I'm just describing what looks to have happened, and that is the first real sign of improvement in nearly 2 years.

Mostly these names are terrible investments due to the reg fees being too high in comparison to the actual value of the name, the odds are stacked against registrants of these names because the lower quality example that most hold need to double, triple etc in a year just for the owner to break even.

If you are going to to invest make sure it is somethiong with real capital value, not something worth $2 more than the value of reg fees remaining, those names are casino quality, even then I'd rather have my money on roulette.

Most people have lost their shirts in this niche over the past couple years huh. Hmm.

Please dear snoop, in your immeasurable wisdom, show us the err of our ways and name just three of them who have lost their shirts. Surely you must know alot of them, what with the way you often speak about them and all.

I have many domainer friends who collect and have collected LLLL the past couple years. None have lost like you said. Most have gained, as I often do. Some are holding still and they will do just fine in the future.

Hey Ian thanks for the latest eBay sales stats, good stuff.

People who have lost a lot of money in domains don't shout in from the top of a hill or post about it on domain forums, they usually disappear and find something else to do or keep renewing for a couple of years and hope. Perhaps show me three people who have lost their shirts in dubai property or in citibank shares?

I can cite dozens of example of people selling LLLL.com's at a loss though.

I have many domainer friends who collect and have collected LLLL the past couple years. None have lost like you said. Most have gained, as I often do.

If the prices are down 80-90% from the peak two years ago how could most people have gained?

Some are holding still and they will do just fine in the future.

Hang on, you just said you don't know anyone who has lost money on LLLL.com, now you say people "will do just fine in the future"? I thought they were doing well today? because you don't know of anyone who has lost money in LLLL.com?

I didn't ask for dozens of examples of loses on individual LLLL domains here or there, I asked for 3 examples of people who have "lost their shirts" from this niche. Don't try to bring Dubai or any of your other lousy inferences to the table.

Everyone will get an occasional loss on their LLLL, especially if they sell too early. I know I have. I still got all my shirts though.

I said most of my friends have gained, not most of the LLLL domainer community. Quit your usual twisting. You are so damn good at that. It's obvious I was talking about my friends since it is in the same paragraph.

Again, this niche has some seriously strong legs and it's painfully obvious that you can't stand it, snoop. But please do keep on amusing us.

This is the sales and discussion forum, i was discussing that i had made some sales. I'm not sure it's mandatory to display a price, especially when i accept a PM offer.

I have since sold another and will not be displaying the price of that one either, it's quite common practice to not shout the price out after a deal through PM, just common courtesy IMO.

If a sale is publicly recorded in the sales thread, i am more than happy to report the price.

It's quite clear that sales, especially in the top end of the niche remain robust and that some stabilization in the lower end has been established.

It's getting harder to find top quality names IMO, I haven't seen a quad premium CVCV.com for sale in a while now, if anyone spots one, let me know! :gl:
